RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 18.0) - J_E_F_F - 2017-06-20

OK, tested by watching a 720p TV show, after it was done, the GUI cut off the time "PM" after about 40, it corrected itself. I was able to repeat this 3x in a row.
I also tested by manually stopping the show, and it had the same affect, cutting off the PM. Note that time display during playback is displayed correctly, only after the show is stopped, and in the folder display do I see the issue.

Here is a screenshot, and like I said, it seems to correct itself somewhere between 10 and 40 seconds, the correction time is not consistent.

Ok that looks different to the situation I had - in your photo, all the skin elements appear to be positioned correctly apart from the clock, which seems to be too far over to the right and is being chopped. Maybe this is a skin bug after all.

and here the log snippet from running #0603: https://pastebin.com/HhRxQfRp

For me it is exactly the same. Only the clock is misplaced. As far as I can remember, the position was corrected while browsing some playlists. So it got corrected somehow but not via display rate changes.

And it does not happen often.

So it's not a simple case of TV overscan?
The auto-correct is probably something coming from the TV, I haven't seen computer boxes do that by themselves.

Another little bug, its been there a while, maybe a couple of months, sorry should have reported it earlier...

When watching live TV if i press and hold up or down on the remote to fast scroll thru the channels on the osd, kodi freezes and reboots.
Seems I can reproduced this everytime, anyone else want to check it out for me, in case its just me.

Regards

Bucky

Yes I can reproduce it, but you have to stay on the arrow for a long time.
Normally no one makes such a thing but this should not happen...

If you can identify the build when this started, that would help.

Well I went back about 4 months, checked about 20 builds, all still crashed while scrolling thru the pvr osd fast, so I gave up for a bit , and installed the latest build, and guess what it looks like someone has fixed it.

Regards

Guess What? It looks like someone has fixed it. @Aux_ could you please confirm yours is also working fine...

Kind Regards

Bucky

Edit: forget that it just takes a really long time to crash now, and no one will probably ever see it...

Since version # 0615 the built-in wget has broken, it is impossible to download the software update from this forum (an incomplete file is downloaded). In the version # 0614 and earlier - everything works.

Thanks, I'm able to reproduce on both RPi and Generic (x86_64) builds. How strange, this must be a bug in busybox as it only downloads 27869 bytes of the tar file. Sad

We'll look into it and try to find a fix ASAP.

You can use "curl -O" instead of wget as long is broken

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 18.0) - asavah - 2017-06-22

Possible fix for wget iissue upstream https://git.busybox.net/busybox/commit/?id=a6f8651911716d1d1624712eb19e4f3608767c7e without reverting the other commit,
was commited 1 day after 1.26.2 release

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 18.0) - Milhouse - 2017-06-22

@asavah thank you, that looks like a good fix. I'll test/implement that instead just as soon as my main workstation isn't a useless pile of bits after a GPU meltdown. Sad
