RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 18.0) - Milhouse - 2017-09-08

Do you have the same issues using "texturecache.py playw <url>"?

For example, using the latest plugin.video.netflix addon (rev: c35e1c7) I exported "13 Reasons Why", which created 13 strm files in "/storage/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/plugin.video.netflix/shows/13 Reasons Why" . The contents of the first strm file, S01E01.strm, is:
Code:
plugin://plugin.video.netflix/?action=play_video&video_id=80117471

Playing this file with:
Code:
texturecache.py playw "/storage/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/plugin.video.netflix/shows/13 Reasons Why/S01E01.strm"
works just fine with #0907.

I haven't imported this file into my library, as it's not a source I can (or wish) to import.

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 18.0) - hawkeyexp - 2017-09-08

Inside the plugin playing is no problem only when it is added to kodi library which was working with the builds before 0907.

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 18.0) - smp1 - 2017-09-09

HEVC playback is broken in #0908. When trying to play HEVC Kodi just locks up without crash log.

I've been through my complete list of 8-bit and 10-bit HEVC samples with #0908 but no issues so far. Is this with all your HEVC files, or just some of them?

If Kodi has locked up then "kill -SEGV $(pidof kodi.bin)" should cause a crashlog that might have a clue.

All of them.
However, I didn't use your .tar image, I just compiled it myself using your scripts. I guess I messed something up (probably should have done a clean build).

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 18.0) - smp1 - 2017-09-09

Hmm... if I build using a current default kernel 4.13 - HEVC works fine. But if I build with an older kernel 4.8.16 - HEVC does not work anymore. This did not happen with previous builds - till today I could easily downgrade the kernel and HEVC worked. Any ideas?

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 18.0) - Milhouse - 2017-09-09

@smp1 and you're using the latest firmware, not the firmware that was current at the time of 4.8.16? Did you manage to produce a crashlog?

Everything is identical to build #0908, including the firmware.
Downgrading the kernel to 4.8.16 worked fine with no side effects until today.

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 18.0) - Milhouse - 2017-09-09

These are the md5 checksums for the ffmpeg packages/multimedia/ffmpeg/patches - do you have the same?

Code:
e723b8825ab3ff91e3c2b2a144c5f6bd  ffmpeg-00.0000-fix-version-script.patch
f042da0686773843fa2ededf0f197f95  ffmpeg-99.1001-pfcd_hevc_optimisations.patch
ad58cb4a8878f913499a3431f82fa888  ffmpeg-99.1002-73fde6f9f3d01f7fc0f3ae4b66f6c725f9fb1105.patch
3646b540e9fd14bfecec6174a574f3c1  ffmpeg-99.1003-Call-get_format-to-fix-an-issue-with-MMAL-ren.patch

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 18.0) - smp1 - 2017-09-09

Yes, ffmpeg patches are the very latest.
Code:
~/projects/LibreELEC.tv/packages/multimedia/ffmpeg/patches $ md5sum *
e723b8825ab3ff91e3c2b2a144c5f6bd  ffmpeg-00.0000-fix-version-script.patch
f042da0686773843fa2ededf0f197f95  ffmpeg-99.1001-pfcd_hevc_optimisations.patch
ad58cb4a8878f913499a3431f82fa888  ffmpeg-99.1002-73fde6f9f3d01f7fc0f3ae4b66f6c725f9fb1105.patch
3646b540e9fd14bfecec6174a574f3c1  ffmpeg-99.1003-Call-get_format-to-fix-an-issue-with-MMAL-ren.patch

Looks like there is some issue with current firmware + older kernel.
I just tested with an older firmware and the result is a bit different. HEVC still does not play but Kodi does not lock up. Playback just does not start and return to GUI.

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 18.0) - Mr Ozzy - 2017-09-09

Hi to All...

In these latests builds i still have a problem with auto mount samba shares..
I am using the new samba.conf file adjusted a little to my needs... but seems not to work in any way... i can see my network shares... i can mount them using smb:// bla bla..
i have checked smbd version in latest build it is 4.6.7
It seems to mount something but that is not a network share but the local storage.....

I also have an second Rasp running on libreelec version 8.1.1 and smbd version 4.6.6 and there I am using the same samba.conf called by multiuser-wants works perfectly....

if i need to send any log file's plzz tell me... and i will provide them...

Best regards...

Connect the drives you want to be auto-shared then:
Code:
cat /storage/.config/samba.conf | pastebinit
cat /run/samba/smb.conf | pastebinit
testparm -s /storage/.config/samba.conf 2>&1 | pastebinit
journalctl -a | pastebinit
echo | smbclient -L localhost | pastebinit
and paste the links.

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 18.0) - CygnusHyoga - 2017-09-09

Hi to all!

I create a little automation job in my home lab jenkins to manual update my libreelec kodi to milhouse latest dev release. Maybe someone find it's useful :-)

Code:
#Install
# Get repo
# wget http://repo.leopold.me.uk/repo.leopold.zip
# Install Repo in kodi
# install plugin libreelec dev update
# symlynk is created in /storage/./devupdate

#Input Parameters
# 1 Milhouse Release
# 0 Latest Build

printf '1\n0\n' | /storage/./devupdate download
reboot
