Ok so the moonlight plugin is working while started from ssh, i managed to get steam started, but moonlight was displayed behind kodi.

Can't start it from kodi, but that's progress nevertheless, i'll keep looking into it when i have more time ! Thanks again for the very quick update on the addon !

Latest build LibreELEC devel-20171228214630-#1228-g1fbc48c gives a crash/reboot when playing video (any video) - http://ix.io/DvB

Last known build tested that works was LibreELEC (Milhouse): devel-20171211230952-#1211-gde76520 [Build #1211]

Let me know what other information needed

Thanks. It seems there is a problem with recent builds but only on RPi1.

First build that crashes reliably for me is #1216, while the previous build #1214 is OK.

I can't reproduce the crash on RPi2 (even with mmal disabled/omx enabled).

I'll upload a debug-enabled crashlog later.

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 18.0) - ZefQ - 2017-12-30

I have a LG OLED55B7V and I cant get CEC to work. I did a manual "bisect" and the latest version i got CEC working with was #323.
The builds that didn't work also had a grayed out Peripherals under settings->system->input, and only joystick was available under the driver menu when that was present

Can you test the official release LibreELEC 8.2.2 and see if that is better/worse/same. Also try the latest test build with a "clean" Kodi, ie. rename your .kodi folder to .kodi.bak, so that you start with default settings (in case a setting is corrupted). Try powering off the TV at the mains for 5 seconds in case the TV is the problem.

You're the only person reporting CEC not working with LG which makes me think this is more likely to be an issue with your environment/settings/TV.

If nothing works then enable debug logging, enable CEC component debugging, reboot the RPi then upload your kodi log.

 CEC works for me on Libreelec 8.2.2 I tested it the first thing i did yesterday when I noticed that #1228 wasn't working. .kodi is only 3 days old, I had problems when i first updated to alpha builds so i did a fresh install, but i will try it anyway and upload log

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 18.0) - ZefQ - 2017-12-30

So when I started with a clean .kodi CEC worked on #1229. The first thing i did was to add a profile for my daughter and then I had the same issue again. I did some testing and it seems that if I chose to have a login screen at boot up CEC wont work, but if I enable the option to "auto login" CEC will work. I enabled debug log but it does not seem to be activated until i login to a profile so there was not much information in it, is there a way to enable "global" debugging

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 18.0) - Milhouse - 2017-12-30

@ZefQ you can try putting the following in /storage/.kodi/userdata/advancedsettings.xml:
Code:
<advancedsettings>
    <loglevel>2</loglevel> <!-- Change this to "1" to hide the on-screen debug log text -->
    <debug>
        <extralogging>true</extralogging>
        <setextraloglevel>64,1024, 16384</setextraloglevel>
        <showloginfo>true</showloginfo> <!-- Change this to "false" to hide the on-screen debug log text -->
    </debug>
</advancedsettings>

See: http://kodi.wiki/view/Log_file/Advanced#advancedsettings.xml_for_input_devices

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 18.0) - Milhouse - 2017-12-30

Hmmm... the Pi1 debug build gives me an immediate assert:
Code:
kodi.bin: ../xbmc/cores/AudioEngine/Sinks/AESinkPi.cpp:223: virtual bool CAESinkPi::Initialize(AEAudioFormat&, std::string&): Assertion `0' failed.
which corresponds with this line: https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/blob/master/xbmc/cores/AudioEngine/Sinks/AESinkPi.cpp#L220

No such problem with RPi2 (RPi3).

I've tested with a "clean" .kodi, and same result - instant assert on RPi1.

gdb is taking forever to process the core dump - in fact I think it's crashing the system (running out of resources).

@popcornmix are you able to reproduce? I'm currently trying to narrow down which change in #1216 introduces this problem, although it's almost certain to be one of the AE related changes.

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 18.0) - LtTuvok - 2017-12-30

Dear Milhouse

Thanks for your continues work on the libreelec builds. In the meantime nearly every issue is solved. Even though the menus of ISO files run perfect, which was not such nice with the 17.x versions Image

Now there is only one final problem left, which is that the m2ts files (BluRay private backups, main movie copies from the BluRay) are not played smoothly. I used to play them with Kodi 17.5 with my Raspberry 3 without any issue. Now with version 18 and the latest testbuild they buffer and buffer every few seconds. I already checked the player settings (hardware accel. etc.) everything is the same as with 17.5. Is it a known bug? Maybe it is related to the discussions with the 3D m2ts issue discussed somehwere else? Do you need the logfile?

Regards and appreciations to your excellent work
Tuvok
