Is #0124x any better?

No, if revert13 is working fine, then revert1213/revert111213 should also be fine.
It may be more useful to switch back to default firmware (just updating to a recent build will do that) just to confirm the problem recurs and then switch back to revert13 to confirm the problem is resolved. For issues that can be a bit random it can be hard to be 100% sure of a fix so it's best to double check.

Do you know which firmware to roll back to which doesnt include the broken CEC files?

Thanks
Nick

Nick,

According to my iffy testing Build 0117 should be okay.

I switched back to build 0127 and the CEC problem returned. I loaded build 0127 with the revert13 files and it worked again. So, it looks like rever13 does the trick. Also your suggestion of unplugging the TV was a good one. Unplugging the TV eliminates most of the randomness of my earlier testing.

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 18.0) - MMXT - 2017-01-29

Hi,
First I want to say thank you @Milhouse and @popcornmix for all the effort you put into this project!

1. Furthermore I'd like to know how to remove (delete) items from the favorites menu, since there doesn't pop up any context menu for me, when I try to press the context key on either my remote or my keyboard while one of my favorites items is selected.

2. And I am curious if I am the only person, who cannot use the crossfade option for my audio tracks without little gaps in the mid of the crossfaded portion? It doesn't matter if I play flac or cbr or vbr mp3 btw.
I always recognize these little gaps between the tracks. Audio output option "optimized" is set (but it happens with constant khz output set as well).

Even without using crossfade (set to 0 seconds/none) I think there is almost ever a very small break/distortion at the beginning of each of my tracks. In another room I run an old rpi1 with runeaudio (a distro using mpd to play audio) and I never have problems with gapless audio playback. While on the other hand using libreelec I have had problems with really gapless playback from day one using it.
Since mpd addon isn't working in libreelec (because /etc/mpd.conf is missing for some reason and squashfs is r/o...) I am really interested if there is a way to make audio playback really gapless Smile

Thx

@MMXT

Regarding question 1) You need to actually enter into favourites option in left bar and not just hover over it, for context menu to work on your favourites
(If you just hover down to favorites in left menu bar, then move over to your favourites, no context is available)

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 18.0) - noggin - 2017-01-30

Apologies for posting semi-randomly in this thread, but a forum search hasn't work for me.

A couple of days ago I'm sure I read reference to an issue with deinterlacing in firmware that had been introduced a while back, not noticed, and then fixed. The issue caused some odd artefacts like small lines on saturated content. I'm running a CM3 in a Slice with chewitt's 7.95.1 Slice CM3 build, and noticed those kind of artefacts. (Thin green lines on saturated red for example on football yesterday)

Is there a new firmware I should be using? Should this be a case of mounting the /flash section as r/w and copying it over (like we do with config.txt) - or am I likely to need to mount the internal eMMC on the CM3 on a PC when its not booted?

Hope you can help - and apologies if I'm misremembering,

tomismrkolj Wrote:Millhouse I have another question: how do you use game emulators? I can install the emulator addons, but where do I start game roms from? Is there a launcher? I am asking this because in separate retroplayer libreelec builds there was game menu included among others (movies, tvshows, music, pictures, addons) but not in Millhouse builds.

tomi

I have the same situation. I installed the #129, got my ps3 controller connected via Bluetooth (awesome!) and found the emulator addons to install and copied my Roms to libreelec/emulators, however I don't find a section how to start the emulators - the addon "Internet archive Rom launcher doesn't do what I want. First of all it let's me download all nes games - sounds illegal. When I try to start an emulator via the launch button (e.g. bnes) it gets libreelec to reboot...

Is there another way to start the emulators without iarl? So I have to use another skin? Another category "games" would be awesome...!

Edit: nestopia worked and I could play Nintendo world Cup with 2 PlayStation controller! Awesome! Thank you!

Still I would prefer to have a game category instead of the (maybe illegal?) addon. It says "download" so I think there is something going on in the background I don't want to do [emoji2]

Is there any way I could support with this? Can the emulators be started from the shell with the roms as an argument? If yes I even would try to write a few lines for myself [emoji2] have not coded for kodi before, so don't expect anything soon [emoji6]

Can you report output of "vcgencmd version" (also shown in kodi log)? That will confirm if you have the bug.

Same here: it is unclear to me how one install and run game emulators, from the instructions provided in this thread introduction. Also, the configuration options on IARL are confusing.
If anyone could provide clear instructions (maybe in a dedicated thread so we can discuss it further without disrupting milhouse builds?) that would be great.

The IARL add-on requires either retroarch (recommended) or retroplayer. Is one of the two included in the milhouse builds (I think retroplayer is the new kodi core player...) ?
