RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 18.0) - Germeleon - 2019-01-07

Hello @Milhouse

I noticed a nasty bug in the build #0101

If you watch a stream via the german television app "7tv-Live" the stream starts and stops after a few seconds to fill up the buffer.

After that, the video remains/starts to play again, but the audio track is missing. The result is: video okay, but the sound is mute.

You'll find the debug log here:

Kind Regards,

G.

Is this file suppose to run flawlessly? I tried this to see if it plays or not, but for me it plays half way all gibberish then stops. Audio is ok, system is OK. CPU Cores don't exceed 20%.

I have the latest GPU Kernel with firmware 4.14.89 (LE under Berryboot), is this the reason?

On Pi 3 - yes. On Pi 1 and 2 - no.

Most likely.

I don't always have the time to go through every PR, unfortunately, but will try (I have done this in the past when I'm aware of a change, but can't promise).

There's likely to be another video db bump to 115 coming soon: https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/15200

Berryboot is most likely your problem - there's a reason it's not supported for use with LibreELEC.

Did this issue start with #0101, are you saying #1231 is OK? Are you sure this isn't a random network issue?

OK, fair enough. It's not a serious issue, just an irritant :-}
[I use MySql and find myself looking at the wrong d/b when the version changes]
