Do you need databases to test if calibration settings are saved? Try with a clean .kodi (rename your existing .kodi folder), identify the first build with the calibration saving issue, then you can restore your old .kodi folder and return to latest builds.

I may have some time for this during the weekend, i'll try a fresh install first with latest build and if the issue persists start with 17 and do boundary testing from there.

just tried the config overscan section but doesnt work either, overscan settings are still off. interesting perhaps is that the overscan settings from config make the bootup line appear way offset form the top left screen and once in kodi i still had to readjust top left from 31,24 to 50,24 after reboot.

I did a fresh install of the official 8.0.0 build on a new SD card. Same issue. On reboot, the video calibration is slightly off for the upper left corner, sometimes for both corners, subtitle position is always the same.

Strangely enough it gave the same overscan values 43,30 (left top), 52,24 (bottom, right) but I had to adjust to 39,28 / 56,26 for the same arrow positioning after a reboot.

Fresh install, nothing extra.

seems this error has been around forever. I could not find from where to download pre 8.x.x official builds, (v6 or v7 from libreelec.tv)

note my config.txt has the overscan section commented out, even after doing a calibration via settings within kodi:
# Adapt overscan values to your needs
# overscan_left=57
# overscan_right=59
# overscan_top=20
# overscan_bottom=20

does it save the video calibration somewhere else? should I comment out that section? although I thought those would then override any settings done from within kodi.

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 18.0) - CAM STEW - 2017-03-21

The browser remote has stopped working in this latest build (#320). It also seems to have messed with Yatse as it's not working properly either. When I downgraded to #319 it all started working again.

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for RaspberryPi (Kodi 18.0) - MidKnight - 2017-03-21

if your talking about the http control for remote control, I thought it broke too, but seems after the above update, it turns it off.. just turn it back on again

Oh, you're right. I did have a look at the setting before, I guess I just didn't notice it had turned off.

Do we know when k18 will come out of alpha?

Sent while on the move

Considering kodi 17 has only just gone stable and it took almost a year between kodi 16 and kodi 17, I'd say don't hold your breath.
Going beta occurs quite late in the release cycle, so it will be many months away.

Oops, my bad. I mistakenly included a patch we're considering adding in future that disables the webserver by default (which is how it is in plain Kodi, disabled by default). The webserver is currently enabled by default in LE, but there are significant security concerns with the Kodi webserver right now and not enabling by default might limit the risk a little. I'll drop this patch in the next release which restore webserver enabled by default, until such time as a formal decision has been made about what to do.

Edit: The webserver patch doesn't appear in the changelog as I hadn't given it a description as it wasn't supposed to be included in a release... again, apologies.

Yes, as LE master hasn't been updated since 25 Jan so still uses the version prior to the merge of PR:56.

Install your TVHeadend from your Link and now all is ok, with the new Libreelec Versions. Thank you for your help.

(2017-03-17, 23:21)Milhouse Wrote: OK I'll take that back a bit - it's a little hit & miss with (2017) #0316. Some BD ISOs are fine (eg. Sintel), but others will crash Kodi. This behaviour is also present in #0315 (haven't tested earlier than #0315).

Here's the #0316 crashlog when playing an unencrypted 3D BD ISO: http://sprunge.us/MeRR

I have noticed a difference in the BD menu though when playing unencrypted BD ISOs - there is no "Play main title" option:

#0316:

Tracked it down to this change in code: [bluray] Early return if requested "dir" is in fact a file.

It does not open the playlist folder anymore. Compiled LE 9.0, added the code for testing. See the log of both versions (with/without) here

Thanks. I let ace know and the behaviour wasn't intended so that should be fixed tonight.
