just FYI - mtrr patch needs for 304 legacy drivers and recent kernel

Hi Milhouse,

long time ago i reported kodi does instantly crash if i do an instant record in live tv with the option "ask what to do" in pvr settings.
Today i got some time and setup libreelec from scratch. in the first time of testing all works fine, but after a while the bug comes back.
Now i got the trick -> it's the language setting. if i set libreelec to english language all works fine -> choose german language in regional settings and the nice "ask what to do" option in pvr setting crashes kodi if you want to use it.

Can you upload your crashlog (see note #4 in the OP)

kodi.log
http://sprunge.us/NZFC

dmesg | pastebinit
http://sprunge.us/HTbM

journalctl -a | pastebinit
http://sprunge.us/SjFb

i did trigger instant record at 01:43:10

it also happens in other languages, for example french. only with english language i get the "instant recording action" windows instead of a crash

Thanks. Hopefully a PVR developer can look into it.

@pvrdevelopers - if a debug-enabled crashlog would help, please shout and I'll get one uploaded so that schlumpfschlaubi can hopefully re-test.

Weekly Linux 4.10-rc3 build #0109x: Generic

Same as #0109, but without media_build extensions (not compatible with this kernel).

This is actually a translation bug. The resource string was not translated correctly, interestingly for both German (de_DE) and French (fr_FR). All other languages I checked are okay. For German language I just fixed this in Transifex. For French I do not have the needed access priviledges. My fix will be avaliable with next Transifex update for Kodi.
