I don't see any evidence in your log that screensaver.shadertoy is even installed. I do see you testing a couple of other screensavers (screensaver.asteroids, screensaver.rsxs.solarwinds) that are currently broken - I'll try rebuilding them this evening.

I've spoken with @popcornmix about screensaver.shadertoy (which currently crashes kodi: http://sprunge.us/PXSL) and it's not a quick fix but something he'll look at and I'll post an update when there is a working version.

I've posted an update for screensaver.asteroids, this is confirmed working with #0602.

I've also posted updates for screensaver.rsxs - Solarwinds is working, Euphoria is working, but Hyperspace and Skyrocket do not work:

In both cases Kodi quits without a crashlog.

I haven't checked any of the other screensaver.rsxs addons, so they may or may not work.

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0) - ironic_monkey - 2017-06-03

please, open tickets on the add-ons as i cannot monitor these threads all the time. i will try to fix them faster than upstream breaks em but it's hard to keep up these days Wink

edit: both skyrocket and hyperspace seems to still work at my box. i do see the same failure in the log but it loads the screensaver fine. the faulty logging is just a silly missing not condition.
so there seems there is a le specific angle to this...

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0) - illiac4 - 2017-06-03

Since samba updates you can not connect anymore to the mediacenter (libreelec) from computer. Even if you set the samba share in libre elec config and set user and pass or. even without you are always being asked for username and pass and you can not connect to it.
Also the mediacenter is not being listed under network so you have to call it directly with ip or dns name if you have it.
I have tried all smb versions (1,2,3) and none is working.

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0) - Milhouse - 2017-06-03

@illiac4 are you using a custom /storage/.config/samba.conf, or stock? I'm pretty sure stock is working fine.

Yep, thanks (argh!) - the real error is in the system log:
Code:
Jun 03 00:00:30 NUC kodi.sh[2740]: /usr/lib/kodi/kodi.bin: symbol lookup error: /storage/.kodi/addons/screensaver.rsxs.hyperspace/screensaver.rsxs.hyperspace.so.2.0.0: undefined symbol: png_sig_cmp
Jun 03 00:06:49 NUC kodi.sh[2824]: /usr/lib/kodi/kodi.bin: symbol lookup error: /storage/.kodi/addons/screensaver.rsxs.skyrocket/screensaver.rsxs.skyrocket.so.2.0.0: undefined symbol: png_sig_cmp
I wonder if these particular screensavers have ever worked in recent versions of LE... it's rather annoying finding stuff that doesn't work for some reason totally unrelated to why they were broken in the first place!

I guess there's some libpng dependency that now needs fixing/adding - sorry for the noise.

That's the Samba server config from Samba 3 days, which isn't compatible with Samba 4. Since the switch to Samba 4 you should "re do" any custom configuration using the latest /storage/.config/samba.conf.sample as the basis of your configuration (that post references /etc/samba/smb.conf because at the time we were not updating /storage/.config/samba.conf.sample as we do now).

Aha ok, I did not know that. Will check and fix. TNX for help.

Update:
Edited with new file and it works.

They haven't been working for sometime in the latest LE builds. I should have mentioned it sooner

Do you know if they work with LibreELEC 8.0.2 (you'll need the version of the add-on from the LE repository)? I'd check myself but I've run out of time and need to get some zzz.

Yeah they do.
