Fire TV Stick and MJPEG playback - solution - 2017-01-06 Hello everybody, I have problems playing some videos with Kodi 16.1 Jarvis on Fire TV Stick. This videos are from an older Canon Camera, which saves video in MJPEG format. These video seems not to be played at full speed on Kodi at Fire TV Stick and within the video playback there are some parts skipped. Also the audio somehow comes a little bit asynchronous. While using Kodi or VLC Media Player at some other devices like my Windows 8.1 notebook these videos are played normal, so it seems to be a Fire TV or Android related problem. As far I know, this codec saves every video frame in one JPG picture and there is no frame interleaving compression used. I read in an older thread that this format is/was quiet hardware intensive, so maybe the Fire TV Stick hardware is just too slow?
