RE: nVidia Shield TV (2015 & 2017 Models) - UPDATED: Jan 26 2017 - Tatts4Life - 2017-02-02 How do I get my Logitech harmony one to control more specific Kodi functions? I have the direction arrows and the pla/pause and back button working. What I would also like is to be able to hit the info button and it work like the i button on my computer keyboard. It's available from the official repo RE: nVidia Shield TV (2015 & 2017 Models) - UPDATED: Jan 26 2017 - Tinwarble - 2017-02-03 (2017-02-02, 22:23)Tatts4Life Wrote: How do I get my Logitech harmony one to control more specific Kodi functions? RE: nVidia Shield TV (2015 & 2017 Models) - UPDATED: Jan 26 2017 - pameijer - 2017-02-03 I have my SPMC on the Shield set up completely to my wishes. That is a lot of work! Especially the 2 skins I have, Aeon Nox and Xonfluence. I would like to try the Kodi 17 Krypton version that is now available in the Play Store. Is there a way to copy all my settings, library etc from SPMC to Krypton on the Shield? Unfortunately the only way to get extra functions from IR remotes is to add a Flirc. (2017-02-03, 17:49)pameijer Wrote: I have my SPMC on the Shield set up completely to my wishes. However, you should be aware that skins for SPMC which is based on v16 will NOT work with Kodi v17. RE: nVidia Shield TV (2015 & 2017 Models) - UPDATED: Jan 26 2017 - Tatts4Life - 2017-02-03 Well crap I thought I wouldn't need to buy one. My personal recommendation is just upgrade to a Smart Control Hub. There on sale at Amazon right now for $70 https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Harmony-Control-Smartphone-Simple/dp/B00BQ5RYI4/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1486139206&sr=8-3&keywords=smart+control+hub RE: nVidia Shield TV (2015 & 2017 Models) - UPDATED: Jan 26 2017 - PatK - 2017-02-03 I get this. Picked up an ADATA USB 3 stick, and trying to use it as internally formatted. Didn't want to blow a bundle on an SSD that would stretch the budget, My Kodi lib is ~10 gigs, SPMC will probably be the same. That's why I am going to order the Pro version. It's $100 more but the IR remote will work. I have more than 4 activities. And I really like my one. So I think that will be better for me than upgrading to the hub. If you plan to always use a mouse, and is only going to be used by you, maybe. I've thought about getting a hub. The only thing I can't find an answer for is how the system will work with multiple phones. The issue in our home is what if I turn on the system to watch tv and then leave the house, how will the system act for my wife or kids when they want to change the channel or play the Xbox one? If they bring up the harmony app on their phone will it tell them which activity is active? On a side note I do have the Kodi remote up and working on my phone for full control of Kodi. But the Harmony Hub is what I would really like. Multiuser is working with separate google account, apps, etc and old and new controller too with mic. I have the 2015 model and can use old remote + Logitech k400. Enviado desde mi Moto X via Tapatalk! Sorry I didn't, but after checking it my opinion stands, that is really only usable for power users, for most other people, I think Google is going with the right approach with their TV interface and not making apps with poor lean-back user experience compatible. Anyway, I'm sorry if I sounded too aggressive, after all some people that frequent this forum might be the type that would want that, I was just pointing out that for most regular people it would not be ideal, like trying to use a PC from your couch or bed, heck even with the subset of features Android TV has right now my parents are having trouble remembering how to use them. |
