I'm on the latest nightly of vanilla Kodi and can run the GUI at 3840x2160 @ 59.94 frame rate and all looks smooth and good. Never managed this before on previous firmware's RE: nVidia Shield TV (2015 & 2017 Models) - UPDATED: Oct. 06, 2017 - Ogreen - 2017-11-08 (2017-11-05, 21:19)Raitsa Wrote: Are these the latest Android nightlies? Hello, What is the difference between these two versions ? What is the best to install on the shield TV ? Thanks RE: nVidia Shield TV (2015 & 2017 Models) - UPDATED: Oct. 06, 2017 - docwra - 2017-11-08 Krypton is the current stable release. Leia is the cutting edge next release that is still under heavy development. Either should work fine though. RE: nVidia Shield TV (2015 & 2017 Models) - UPDATED: Oct. 06, 2017 - PantsOnFire - 2017-11-13 Quick question about ShieldTV in comparison to typical (standard/full) Android TV box: * Web browsers can be sideloaded onto the Shield, with shield remote for navigation (dpad). Not ideal (compared to a MinixA3Lite air-mouse). ---can airmice be used with the Shield (ie floating cursor seen on screen approximating the standard android experience). It would just make browsing much better. Apologies it's not a Kodi question, I've YouTube'd for examples but I can only see videos of ppl demo'ing the browsers (not with any such air-mouse). I only ask here because let's face it, there's shield experts aplenty here. RE: nVidia Shield TV (2015 & 2017 Models) - UPDATED: Oct. 06, 2017 - viperlogic - 2017-11-13 Looking to calibrate my setup (Nvidia Shield with 6.1 and Krypton 17.5) and noticed the following when displaying the black and white clipping windows from AVS HD 709 Shield: 1920x1080 59.940 Hz RGB 8-bit Rec. 709 —> MX player: clipped Kodi: clipped Shield: 1920x1080 59.940 Hz YUV 4:4:4 8-bit Rec. 709 —> MX player: no clipping (but clipped if shield has to do overlay eg volume) Kodi: clipped Shield: 1920x1080 59.940 Hz YUV 4:2:2 12-bit Rec. 709 —> MX player: no clipping (but clipped if shield has to do overlay eg volume) Kodi: clipped I believe it was wesk05 somewhere recommended to use "1920x1080 59.940 Hz YUV 4:4:4 8-bit Rec. 709" but how do I configure Krypton to not clip?
