JAVA Error - MagikMark - 2017-01-25

I don't know if this has been answered. I can't find the right thread. I'm getting this JAVA error. Tried clearing the cache and reinstalling Java and tinymeida:

hmm... what Java version do you currently have installed?
and on what OS? Windows 10?
What was the last time it worked?
Can you upload the tmm.log from /logs/ directory?

PS: you are the 3rd today who has exact this issue :|
Did you upgrade Java recently? (or did it itself with autoupdater?)

made an account just for this. Having the same error. Seems since the latest Java 8 update something went screwy (update happened today)

That can't be a coincidence!
You might want to uninstal Java, and try an older version from here:
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/java-archive-javase8-2177648.html#jre-8u112-oth-JPR

worked fine last night, windows 10
CMD works fine, but full version and updater crash

Howdy

Installed the earliest Java x86 version
jre-8-windows-i586.exe - worked
then
jre-8u112-windows-i586.exe - worked

When i tried two versions of Java installed
Java 8 112 (x86) and Java 8 121 (x64)
TMM failed
uninstalled Java 8 121 (x64)
TMM loaded

Only jre-8u121-windows-i586.exe - worked

I couldn't get TMM working (Win7) while a x64 version of Java 8 was installed

I had the same problem.
I resolved it with the wiki, by creating "extra.txt" and ad "-Dsun.java2d.d3d=false" in it.

UI glitches with a remote desktop connection

If you use tinyMediaManager with a remote desktop connection software like RDP or VNC, Java can produce some weird glitches due a lack of 3D rendering with remote desktop connections.

In this case, try to create (or edit if it already exists) a file called extra.txt in the tinyMediaManager install directory and add the following line

-Dsun.java2d.d3d=false

and restart tinyMediaManager

I know this is not the same problem but it works with this mofification.
Maybe the beginning of a solution

on the minecraft forums there is a similar problem which suspects a problem with the latest java/NVIDIA version.
by setting

Code:
-Dsun.java2d.d3d=false

into extra.txt you disable d3d drawing from java (which is done by the NVIDIA driver for NVIDIA users).
That may be a clue

I couldn't reproduce that issue on the only windows machine I can use

I just got the confirmation by email:

Adding

I had the exact same issue tonight, tried upgrading Java to latest version 8 121, but was still crashing.
