Connecting remote Synology NAS to Kodi? - skullmonkey - 2017-01-31
Have any one successfully added Music folder from Synology NAS remotely to Kodi? I try this on Raspi 2. I can connect to Synology over web browser successfully but I cannot do it within Kodi. Ether NFS or SMB.
Any guide lines?

Yes, I have such setup working, currently on AndroidTV.
Also it works fine with Intel NUC, not so fine with RPI2 if you have large music library.
What OS are you using on PI?
With OpenELEC, it worked, but still tended to hang on intial library scan, if you have large music library, like I do (40k+ files)

I have. Try WebDAV connection. My Win10 notebook, Android set top box, and Android phone can all connect to my DS214 at home via WebDAV. It works perfectly with no delay even playing 1080P video files.

I fixed the issue. It was the port problem.
