Just to jump in here. This picture with the icons highlighted shows what I meant in no.2 of my questions. There's a box behind the white icons. Can this be removed or can I change the opacity of it at all?

I am seeing a movie poster on the left side of the OSD after today
s update. Is there any way to remove it so I could see a simple one like the regular Estuary?

Agree, I too prefer the simpler OSD. Could we have it as an option like for ClearArt and CDArt?

What type of content do you play ? Not item from library ?

No can't be remove or change opacity but you can edit code in 'Includes_home.xml' - Include 'WidgetListCategoriesSmall' & 'WidgetListCategoriesBig' for Default widgets and 'PersonalWidgetListCategoriesSmall' & 'PersonalWidgetListCategoriesBig' for Personalized widgets.

There has always been poster on OSD...
I will see to add a setting to minimize OSD.

Skin updates fine on Android without having to disable the skin but in Windows 10 I have to disable the skin and revert to default in order for it to update otherwise it would fail to update.

I'd like also to inspire you to bring back in pvr osd the clearart and clearlogo as shown in the above screenshot may with selectable switch in settings to show or not to show them in the pvr osd. I current don´t know if it works or not. Sometime i get this and sometime not.

It's a known issue on Windows builds.

No not possible, up and down button on video are use to Back/Skip Forward.
ClearArt and Clearlogo are already on PVR and are managed by Skin Helper Service (it use name of video title to find them and need internet connexion, there is many settings for that in Skin Helper settings).

Ah you mean when you are on OSD. Not possible, casting list, plot etc are different windows, not one window with different content.

I understand. I don' t understand the different windows thing designed from Kodi Team ;-) There are lot of things to do within Kodi for standard look and feel within all kodi Video, pvr... windows.
