RE: Estuary MOD V2 - KODI 18 (UPDATED 17/01/19) - a5cent - 2019-01-26

From everything I've read, Artwork Beef should use my local movie-set poster, but I can't get this to work.

After scraping, the movie-set itself, and the first movie in the movie-set share the same poster, which the scraper obtains from the web.

Based on the following, Artwork Beef appears to be correctly installed and functional:

Add-ons | Artwork Beef | add missing artwork for | all videos = The resulting `artwork-report.txt` file indicates all went well and much artwork was added
Add-ons | Artwork Beef | identify unmatched movie sets with TMDb  = All items identified. Hurray!

Scraping was done using the Universal Movie Scraper, using default settings except:

Get Set (Collection) Name from themoviedb.org = off (this is because I'm specifying all the sets myself in NFO files and and don't want sets generated automatically)

Directory structure:

cpp:

Movies
  |- A Nightmare on Elm Street Collection
      |- A Nightmare on Elm Street Collection-poster.jpg     <-- This is the poster I'd want the scraper or Artwork Beef to use!
      |- Movie1.mp4
      |- Movie1.nfo
      |- Movie1-poster.jpg
      |- Movie2.mp4
      |- Movie2.nfo
      |- Movie2-poster.jpg
  |... <many more movie files or folders containing identically structured movie-sets>

Manual override

Movies | <Movie-Set> | Manage

I can select either "Choose art" or "AB select artwork" to replace the movie-set poster with an alternative from the web. I can't select the locally stored "A Nightmare on Elm Street Collection-poster.jpg"

Ideally, the scraper just uses the locally stored movie-set poster. Surely I'm overlooking something obvious, but what?

Help...

Hey.
I was just looking at my home screen and looking at the genres widget and saying how awesome it is, but then I noticed that there is many of the same movies across all the genres showing in widget and then I realized they are all movies that start with numbers or a so they are just the first movies alphbetically for each genre.

I was thinking if it wouldnt be to hard on a system, have each genre widget item be a random movie or show from that genres. this would make it more dynamic and show new things on the home screen

Kodi 18 was released today! I'm surprised it hasn't been noted in news articles or a blog post. Do you think Mod V2 will be updated soon to flag that it works with the new version? When I try to install, I'm getting a notice that it does not. Thanks, love the skin!

All the infrastructure needs to be in place and working first. The notice will come shortly. Still one or two things to iron out.

Hi.

Can someone walk me through adding "unwatched" Movies to the categories widget?  Huh

Hi

Sorry if this has been covered but my searches have been futile.

I've just upgraded to this skin due to the Kodi update.  Since then from the main menu, my Films item that links to my Films source never open the Movies view, and instead two links to the source appear.  When I select either entry, it then loads the Movie view.

Selecting Films from main menu:

Action within Skin Settings:

The 2.xsp file contents looks correct too:

<smartplaylist type="movies">
    <name>Films</name>
    <match>one</match>
    <rule field="path" operator="startswith">
        <value>nfs://192.168.0.100/volume1/Films/</value>
    </rule>
</smartplaylist>

I've since reset Kodi to start over, but still have this issue, either on an Android or Windows 10 platform.

Where am I going wrong please?  I would expect this action to take me directly to the source, and the Movies view.  Thanks.

Ups...really Huh? that would be nice and is enough for me. On first look i don't see this info ... :-(

You can see it here, it's MPAA :

I'm not exactly sure if it is skin related, but movies I added in the past have the "Rated:" tag (ie PG, PG13, R etc.) However, movies I added recently do not. I looked at the skin settings and also the source settings but didn't find anything about it...

Thanks!
