Hello,
If you go to the information pop-out on any movie/tv stream, etc. If you try and play a trailer, the interface jumps up/down very quickly, as it tries to expand the interface to play the trailer.
if you click enough times, eventually you hit the hotspot (I'm assuming that's what it is), and the trailer will play.

What version of Kodi? What version of Unity? Mouse or remote control?

Sorry, Kodi 17.0, Not sure which Unity version, its the one that you can download from within Kodi 17 under the skins list.

Though not listed, I believe I have this fixed in the latest beta. You can try that now, or wait until it gets pushed to the main Kodi repo in a week or two.
