running Kodi (on android box) off 8GB ROM or move to faster MicroSD card? - ssjenforcer191 - 2017-10-11 I have an android box (NEXSMART D32 Android mini pc Support 4K HD TV Android 5.1 Quad-core Cortex A7 ) with 8GB eMMC ROM of installed memory. However, I have inserted a Sandisk Ultra 16GB MicroSD card to help with kodi streaming. My question is whether or not I should move the kodi app on to the SD card, or will the ROM storage be enough to process the data? I have checked on eMMC and it seems ok, but I am concerned that because android OS takes up more than half the 8GB storage already it will cause issues with streams. RE: running Kodi (on android box) off 8GB ROM or move to faster MicroSD card? - bubblegum57 - 2017-10-11 Install LibreELEC to a micro sd card or usb. It will boot & run from the card not touching android https://forum.libreelec.tv/thread/5274-index-libreelec-community-builds-for-amlogic/ sorry, just realised this device is Rockchip RE: running Kodi (on android box) off 8GB ROM or move to faster MicroSD card? - ssjenforcer191 - 2017-10-11 (2017-10-11, 19:19)bubblegum57 Wrote: Install LibreELEC to a micro sd card or usb. LibreElec has a Rockchip board https://forum.libreelec.tv/board/43-rockchip/ but still looks like a way off from any sort of release |
