Ripping CD to MP3 - SweWolf - 2017-10-15

I would like to use Kodi to rip my CDs to MP3.
I've followed the instructions on http://kodi.wiki/view/Ripping_CDs . I've been trying for about two hours without success. I run into two problems:
1. As I understand it I should use the encoder Lame to rip to MP3. I only find two other encoders. I found the folder "C:\Program Files (x86)\Kodi\addons\audioencoder.lame" on my PC, so it looks like it is installed.
2. I read in the instructions: "To Rip the entire CD, highlight the Audio CD from the My Music root listing and choose Rip Audio CD".  Problem is, I don't find "My Music"...?

I am using Kodi 17.4 on Windows 10. I use the Confluence 1080 skin.

Hmmm... you have me stumped as well. I cannot find any menu option to Rip CD.

Hopefully a member familiar with this function can help out. Due to the time difference our music developer won't be online for a few hours yet.

Do you have any other ripping software you can use in the interim?

Personally I use Foobar2000... http://www.foobar2000.org/ and MusicBrainz Picard for the file tagging... http://kodi.wiki/view/Music_tagging

It's one of those menu items that has changed in Estuary. And perhaps not for the better in a userfriendly way.
Look in "Settings/Player/Disc/Audio CDs/Audio Insert Action", you can switch between None, Play and Rip.
Naturally, that wiki page also needs upgrading from v16 to v17, when there is time.

Thank you. So far, I've been using MS Media  Player to rip CDs, but Foobar2000 is probably a better option.

Yes, I notised this, but I don't see this as an option, what if I want to listen to a CD without ripping.
