TVDb no longer working - Error: not authorized - CaptSaltyJack - 2017-11-06

Here's the URL my Kodi box is trying to hit:
https://api.thetvdb.com/search/series?name=%40eaDir|Authorization=Bearer%20eyJhbGciOiJSUzI1NiIsInR5cCI6IkpXVCJ9.eyJleHAiOjE1MTAwODIwMjIsImlkIjoiS29kaSIsIm9yaWdfaWF0IjoxNTA5OTk1NjIyfQ.v0HRJvOjncB2WBezKMZJYNJuShUNnTRSDYC9OrWMcPbhc6O7iwN570QspgyCUCh5y5zJ7Kcq-N9OZ8bWMlBWIJbWS6h5DPwbtV2spXPO0Z63XpyYIX-C7pxkYUz39v4EOa6AEUp59fn8YKeQa3M9JWKIxpBQ3QLyjUVKXYcKxaopaDb_Qf7r8Ph14Jd28Z-s2fTOxAVXxjih0hsucHPI0UHFMPffHCCwxflf5Br_VUusCgTV008iZHjM0B-Tgu4XXqPadj3Py7nW22-k25jpQjypIPBTniAudFMtKhHFiyKMxfhY2mTBcuWoNnwZ8UrDeH67I0xuB0H6YuF-dd0kKg&Accept-Language=en

This comes back with "not authorized". It started happening maybe a couple weeks ago or so. As a result, none of my downloaded stuff is showing up on Kodi at all, even though it's on my server.

How do I fix this?

Update your TVDB scraper to v2.0.3, that one works.

Thanks! That second link is helpful.

Great. If you experience issues, post in the first link. It is where the scraper developer is referring to when users are encountering issues. It becomes to difficult to keep track of all the threads, otherwise.

RE: TVDb no longer working - Error: not authorized - CaptSaltyJack - 2017-11-07

Now I lost the "TV Shows" in my sidebar Sad I followed the instructions to refresh my library. It didn't work, the "TV Shows" sidebar item still showed nothing but a message saying "Your library is currently empty" despite having updated the library and seeing it find all my TV shows. I decided maybe if I removed TV Shows from the sidebar and re-added it, it would work.. but now I can't figure out how to add it back and it's not in the slightest bit intuitive how to do that.

EDIT: Got the TV Shows back. It was under "Skin Settings" (not at all where I would expect that. to me, Skin Settings is all about the colors/theme). Anyway, it still says my library is empty and I've tried every possible thing. It refuses to see the files on my NAS.

We need the full log. That info is not enough. Are you using Openelec? If you are, please post details of the problem and link to the log in that first thread I gave you.

RE: TVDb no longer working - Error: not authorized - CaptSaltyJack - 2017-11-08

That's a pretty long 6-page thread, so I'm not sure what information I'm specifically supposed to glean from that.

I'm on OpenElec 8.0.4. Do you need the full kodi log (from /storage/.kodi/temp/kodi.log) or some other log file?

I reverted the TVDb scraper to 1.8.5 and that seems to have fixed it. I saw that v2.0.2 fixes the known issues, but that didn't work for me.

The issue I'm experiencing: Kodi is not picking up on newly available video files in TV Shows. It used to, then I'm guessing an auto-update occurred which updated TVDb scraper, and shows stopped coming through.

RE: TVDb no longer working - Error: not authorized - Karellen - 2017-11-08

Having confirmed you are using OpenElec, we don't require a log anymore.

There is nothing Kodi can do to fix the issue you are experiencing. This is an OpenElec issue as was detailed in the FAQ which you stated that you had read. You need to head over to the OpenElec forum for updates on how the problem will be resolved. Otherwise you should read the other thread to discover what others are doing to fix the issue.

Of course you can continue to use 1.8.5, but that has a limited life. The actual remaining time is unknown to Kodi and is determined by TVDB.

RE: TVDb no longer working - Error: not authorized - CaptSaltyJack - 2017-11-08

Got it. I'll see what I can find on the OpenElec forum. Thanks for your time!

RE: TVDb no longer working - Error: not authorized - Klojum - 2017-11-08

Good luck with that. OpenELEC development has been totally quiet since last June or something. Perhaps you can have a look at LibreELEC as a worthy successor.

I'm running OpenELEC 6.0.4 and TVDB Add-on Version 2.0.5

No issues

RE: TVDb no longer working - Error: not authorized - Karellen - 2017-11-13

Really? That is good news. OpenElec has released a fix I presume?

i don't think so ... i did'nt update OpenELEC, i just un-installed the old tvdb version (1.8.5 which was causing me problems) and manually installed 2.0.5 from : https://kodi.tv/addon/tv-information/tvdb

i can add new tv shows and also update episodes complete with artwork and info without any problems
