Is Kodi reading replay gain from Vorbis tags of flac files? - slowfrog - 2018-02-26

Metaflac creates tags which look something like this:
Quote:REPLAYGAIN_ALBUM_PEAK=0.97946167
REPLAYGAIN_ALBUM_GAIN=+0.81 dB
REPLAYGAIN_TRACK_PEAK=0.54107666
REPLAYGAIN_TRACK_GAIN=+4.79 dB
REPLAYGAIN_REFERENCE_LOUDNESS=89.0 dB

Thanks

Yes it seems we read all of those apart from REPLAYGAIN_REFERENCE_LOUDNESS, see https://kodi.wiki/view/Music_tagging#Tags_Kodi_reads

If I remember correctly the equivalnt of "reference loudness" is a global setting. Also you have to tell the player to use apply the gain values the tags during playback.

See https://kodi.wiki/view/Settings/Player/Music#Volume_adjustments
