That helps a lot, as I have never read anywhere else that it was required. It now allows me to launch, sign in, and navigate. Playback is interrupted with an error saying that inputstream is not available

Is the input stream add-on enabled from what I recall it's usually disabled and you need to enable it. Well that is the case with my Android install at least.

During my earlier (sadly abortive) attempt at getting Netflix running on my Raspberry Pi 3B, I found the inputstream addon wasn't available from the Kodi repo or any other common ones I tried.

I ended up installing it as a package (e.g. via apt-get). Right now I don't have access to confirm the package name, but I seem to recall you can get it with
Code:
apt list *inputstream*

Inputstram.adaptive should already be installed with the system and usually (in new Kodi versions) it has to be enabled. Needed version.2.4.2 at least to work with new NF addon. You should also have inputstream.helper addon (script.module.inputstreamhelper-0.4.2) installled to take care of your widevine decryption library (libwidevinecdm.so)

Plugin totally functional now (playing smoothly 1080p and 4K stream!) on SHIELD. Just install Kodi 19 alpha 1 from here:
http://mirrors.kodi.tv/nightlies/android/arm64-v8a/master/
😉

And if we don't want to use an alpha version of 19? Will the fix be implemented into 18.x stable?

RE: Netflix Add-on [input-stream] - Xiphan - 2019-10-08

Is there any way to express thanks to the developers of this addon? Because I bought an Onkyo system with Atmos support almost a year ago and up until I discovered this addon I was unable to get Netflix Atmos to work with it. I tried everything to get the awful Windows 10 Netflix app to work and it simply refused to output anything more than a DD+ stream. Then yesterday I discover this addon and it just worked, instantly with minimal tweaking and without any problems. I am beyond impressed! Shocked

I do have one question though regarding the video being software decoded. How fast does a CPU need to be to support full 1080p decoding? I plan to build a new HTPC with an Athlon 200GE and I was just wondering if this would be powerful enough to handle Kodi & this plugin? Huh

Wait a day or so the next Leia nightly will have the fix. As you can see the fix was done but because of some errors Android  build were not compiled

RE: Netflix Add-on [input-stream] - starslayer74 - 2019-10-09

I finally got the Shield update and went in to Netflix, and lo and behold, I can watch movies again....

BUT, for some reason, I can't watch any TV episodes - I get the busy spinner and it never goes away.

Any ideas/updates I should know about?

I installed Kodi 19 alpha 1 along with Netflix 0.15.3 on my Shield, and I'm still only getting movies to play in SD. Is there something else that needs to be done to get 1080p and 4k to play?

Yes, insert manually Netflix ESN, then change to manual stream selection on inputstream addon...then u should be able to select 1080p and 4k streams

I chose auto and it chooses the best stream for me. Also you may have to restart Kodi as it didn't take until after I restarted.

I'm guessing there's no way to copy and paste the ESN? It's like 5 miles long. Also, does the ESN I need to copy, start right after ESN: , or do I just copy the numbers, and not all the words following ESN: ?

Copy everything after ESN:. If you have a harmony hub you can use the keyboard input from there. I wrote down the whole thing in a notepad app on my phone, then I copy and pasted about 15 characters at a time because copying the whole thing causes chaos.

My bad, I was half asleep - my log file is here: https://paste.kodi.tv/gahuqinewu

I just tried it again so it should be the latest entry in the logfile.
