Netflix Add-on [input-stream] - kos25k - 2019-11-02

I installed from repozitory 4.0.3 inputstreamhelper.zip then i redownloaded ne w widevine file, but unfortunately Netflix still lags on 1920p (Same as before) on my Vorke Z6.At least it streams ok on 720p (Same as before) So i realize that S912 is not fully capable of full hd videos.Although quite some full hd movies stream ok..

S912 SoC is fully capable for 1080p ("full hd") videos in hardware and software decoding mode. It just has not enough power to software decode Netflix 1080p HD streams.

Hey guys,

Just switched to an Xbox One from a HTPC.

Netflix add-on worked fine on the HTPC but doesn't seem to work on the Xbox One.

Error from the log says:

AddonVersion: Alpha 0.2.2 is not a valid version
MemoryError
CFUNCTYPE(c_int)(lambda: none)

So it's clearly Netflix issue and maybe it can be "fixed" with an update?

No, no.., it's S912 issue Wink
It just does not have enough CPU power to decrypt and play 1080p NF (usually high bitrate) streams at the same time.
The only update to fix this is getting a more powerful box with SoC that has enough power for the job, because no software can fix under-powered boxes.

Btw, you can find on Netflix site 1920x1080 streams with low bitrate that can be played on an S912 box, but they are very rare. My X92 (overclocked) box can handle all 1080 streams that don't go over 3mbit/s...

That would probably be better to ask as a new forum topic rather than a reply to an unrelated topic.

Unless you mean the Apple TV hardware, which is likely a no because of Apple's lockdown on its hardware.

RE: Netflix Add-on [input-stream] - CastagnaIT - 2019-11-07

is anyone using netflix addon with 4k?
on which android device can it play in 4k?

I'm compiling a list of tested devices:
https://github.com/CastagnaIT/plugin.video.netflix/wiki/List-of-1080P-4k-Android-tested-devices

if your device is not in the list, please specify here the model and android version

Thanks

in the description they say android 8 while you mentioned android 7
so you only tested 4k on android 7? Or to android 8 4k doesn't work?
