For Netflix addon to work in Android, the Android device must have Widevine support. Install DRMInfo app from the playstore and see if it shows Widevine DRM support. Widevine Level 3 is good enough to do 720p as long as the CPU is capable of decoding. There is no hardware aceleration possible for Netflix unless it has Level 1 Widevine support. If there is no Widevine supported on the Android S912 box, then the only way is to run CoreElec to gain Widevine Level 3 capability
I noticed hw acceleration works fine in my H96 MAX X3 S905X3 - NF addon kodi 18.9 setup , which has Widevine L 3 support, and streams in 960x540 (the perceived quality is at least 720)

Hello everyone. Complete Kodi noob here. I have a firestick 4k plugged into my Atmos capable AVR and I have Kodi Leia and the Castagna repository that enabled the Netflix add on. However, I've not been able to get Atmos sound, just DD+. Also, when I get Dolby Vision, it appears to be 1080p not 4K. Am I missing a setting? Advice please. Thanks in advance!

On the other hand in my HP N2840-linux-NF 18.6 setup , there is no HW acceleration ,but manages 720 p. Is that normal ? Is there any way to eable HW acceleration (which works in other addons with H264 streams-not H265)

Hmm, will check the version. Outside of Kodi I do get Atmos and DV with Disney+ and some Prime content. I'm thinking I might have to upgrade to Nvidia Shield if this isn't fixable soon.

Quick update. I rebooted my Firestick and my AVR and that got me DV back but Atmos is still not present. It does show in the Kodi add on audio selection as one of the audio choices where it says English Atmos-DD+ but then my AVR is only showing DD+.

Sync playback was off. I also did a couple restarts of the Firestick from the main device menu but the problem continues. Very strange. I definitely get Atmos from Disney+ and other sources. Anything else I should try?
