Hi!

@davorf, according to your advice, I installed the Titan MOD Omega skin on my Canal+ Android TV box.

I installed the dependencies from the Fuchs repository. By installing the Fuchs repository from a zip file:
https://github.com/Fuchs246/repository.fuchs246/blob/main/repository.fuchs246/repository.fuchs246-1.0.1.zip

By following these steps:
1. Install from the repository
2. Fuchs Repository
3. Context menu -> Skin Helper service
4. Program add-ons -> Skin Helper Service Skin Backup
5. Video Add-ons -> Skin Helper Widgets

You must also install the zip add-on from:
https://github.com/Fuchs246/repository.fuchs246/blob/main/nexus/script.skin.helper.backgrounds/script.skin.helper.backgrounds-1.0.37.zip

Then I installed the Titan MOD Omega skin:
https://www.mediafire.com/file/qomxti5h5c5q57z/skin.titan.mod-20.1.26.zip/file

@davor thank you for the instructions.

Regards

RE: Titan M O D ( last Updated 19-12-2019) - Arkady1964 - 2024-02-03

Hi!

On my 2nd Android TV device (Xiaomi Mi Box S), I decided to update from Kodi 20.3 Nexus to the nightly test Kodi version 21 with the Titan MOD skin installed.

I installed the nightly test Kodi v21 directly on Kodi v 20.3. The add-ons migrated, but Titan MOD (ABI 5.15.0 xbmc.gui) was automatically uninstalled due to incompatibility.

However, all dependencies and other additions remained in the system.

Then I downloaded:
https://www.mediafire.com/file/qomxti5h5c5q57z/skin.titan.mod-20.1.26.zip/file

I installed Titan MOD Omega (ABI 5.17.0 xbmc.gui) without any problem on the overnight test Kodi v21.

Regards

Hello!

For anyone interested in testing the Titan MOD skin on Kodi v21. Both above mentioned methods to get Titan MOD skin on Kodi v21 Omega are proven, i.e. installing Titan MOD skin on Omega works.

Regards

I use Win10 and Kodi 20.3. stable.

Hello!

Well, maybe the problem is Omega nightly, and not the skin. I'll try it on nightly with some other skin and see if it works. Thank you.

Best regards,
Davor

A reminder that skinners, developers, hobbyists don't -and they shouldn't- use Nightlies for skins, addons, since fundamental changes in Nightlies may exist that may be removed on next Nightly or on next beta -like Kodi Omega beta 3.
At least for production skin versions etc.

Hi!

On Android TV, there may be problems (but do not have to) with the latest test versions of Kodi 21 nightly. However, everything works stably on WBMC 20.3 Nexus. I am currently using this fork with the Titan MOD 20.1.26 Nexus skin (on Android TV, next to the WBMC 20.3 fork, I also have nightly test versions of Kodi installed). I suggest Android users to install WBMC 20.3 and use this fork, because it works stably and allows you to install Kodi alongside WBMC on Android.

Installing Titan MOD skins gives you the opportunity to test Titan MOD Omega on the nightly test version of Kodi21. Additionally, Kodi 21's ability to support many of the latest video and audio systems is important to many users.

Hello!

I know, but, others suggested that the Omega nightly is the best at the moment for installing on Fire cube 3rd gen because a lot of fixes aren't backported to Nexus/Omega beta. So, I'm just trying to make skin work with the version that doesn't have playback problems Smile

RE: Titan M O D ( last Updated 19-12-2019) - Arkady1964 - 2024-02-03

Hi!

It is known that these are test versions. I'm testing Titan MOD Omega on Kodi v21 and I'm very happy with this option. I know there are many other people interested in testing Titan MOD Omega on Kodi v21 and are aware that it is not a stable build (there may be issues). However, they really want to be able to test Titan MOD on Kodi v21. After all, it's only an option for those interested, not a necessity...

I would like to point out that it is very important that it is possible to choose on which version of Kodi the user can install the Titan MOD skin. Given a free choice, he can install on the stable or test version, bearing in mind that the test version may work with problems.

Regards

Hi!

@davor I tested Titan MOD Omega multiple times on a nightly Kodi v21 development build. Everything works very well for me on Android TV.

I think that's all the dependencies I've installed before installing adapted skin from the .zip file.

Edit: I forgot I've also installed this, from .zip in Fuchs repo: https://github.com/Fuchs246/repository.f...1.0.37.zip
Thanks Davorf for that, install went smoothly on the latest nightly build (Feb 3rd) on my android 7 box.
So far I have had no errors and will try it on my main android 11 box
I also installed several addons, backup/metadata editor/digital clock screen saver... so far all good. I also backed up and restored just to test it, and all went good.
thanks again

It should actually work. Maybe you changed something else.
If you do a lot of testing with different settings, it is often an advantage to restart Kodi.

Hello!

I've just tested this with Aeon Nox skin, and it shows correct genres.

It's probably combination of Nightly and Skin - not just nightly, since it works with Aeon Nox, and not just skin, since it works for you. I will try to find a way to "debug" it, to see what's going on when you open Genres view.

Davor

Thanks for the info, it will be fixed in the next update.
I once forgot "Home_BG_TransParentCover". Smile

Hi.
Great , Thank you.

If i can, i'll take a look into View_529_NetflixSeasons.xml : A lot of borders are missings, may be is the same solution.
Not found yet for poster's panels (without transparent tile)

I didn't mean you, just skinners. By avoiding making skins on Nightlies, you as an end user using Nightlies might have issues.
Hope it works fine for you.

RE: Titan M O D ( last Updated 19-12-2019) - Arkady1964 - 2024-02-04

Developers release test versions before the final version reaches users. The goal is to refine and fix issues that may occur before global launch. This happens with all types of software. Kodi also has this process of releasing test versions before publishing the final version of Kodi.

Therefore, knowing that these are trial versions, you need to be ready for possible problems that may occur when using the trial version of Kodi. The Kodi trial version may cause performance issues and incompatibility with add-ons we have already installed. However, there are people who are interested in downloading the latest trial version from the official Kodi website and testing out the Titan MOD Omega skin and they need to be allowed to do so. Besides, there are also several other skins that are also available for testing Kodi v21.
I have already tested Titan MOD Omega many times on the latest test Kodi v21 and I am very pleased with this skin.   Smile
