Where are PVR addons for Ubuntu 16.04 with Kodi Kryptons? - glb45 - 2018-06-15

I have tried all the suggestions I could find and none have worked as stated. I must be overlooking something simple?

PVR addons for Kodi on Linix must be installed through your distro's package manager. For Ubuntu, check here: https://kodi.wiki/view/Ubuntu_PVR_add-ons

I installed kodi-pvr-mythtv  according to the wiki instructions (see below), but cannot find it in kodi?

sudo apt-get install kodi-pvr-mythtv
[sudo] password for jerry:

kodi-pvr-mythtv is already the newest version (5.6.0-1~xenial).
0 to upgrade, 0 to newly install, 0 to remove and 0 not to upgrade.

You did restart Kodi after installing the addon? You checked in the addons screen under PVR Clients? Any other attempt to offer help without details is simply guesswork; for further help I'd suggest posting a debug log.

JC,

Just need to know how to do that, i.e., where do I get the debug info and where do I post it.

RC,

Turned on debugging and posted log on ubuntu site. Let me know if that is sufficient.

You need to post a link to where the log file is hosted. Otherwise, how are we supposed to be able to view to assist?

after installing the addon from our PPA, open kodi, go to addons - my addons - PVR clients and enable and configure it

I posted the log file in paste.ubuntu as instructed? I guess I don't know the complete process.

No pvr files. It is interesting that I went to windows 10 and everything worked perfectly. Note that I am not a beginner, i.e., I have considerable  programming and unix experience.

The paste.ubuntu site did not provide me a link. I posted the log under glb45?

@glb45

It can be a little confusing. When you post the log at paste.ubuntu site, you press paste and it gets uploaded.

Once that happens, copy the address in the address bar and paste it back here. So you would copy something like this and paste it here... https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/Npx483QBBT/

Then we can click on the link and be taken to it immediately. There are millions of pastes at paste.ubuntu site, and we would never find it otherwise.

RC,

Hope that works.

Either something happened with your upload, or that's not a debug log. There's nothing useful in what you posted.
