Anyone can start this new xbmc from PPA (SVN:22743) ?

- jeepcook - 2009-09-05

Unable to start SVN22743, I have the first screen xbmc following by a crash ... I don't know what has been changed with this version. For information I use the standard drivers nvdia 180.44.
Waiting for a new version ...
Thanks

I also cant start SVN22743.

Seems to be a problem with the skins or something like that:

<defaultthemename>textures.xpr</defaultthemename>

<version>3.0</version>

Ok sorry ...

my problem is that for the moment I am unable to use xbmc on linux, the svn does not work and now I understand why !! , But I don't know how to install easyly another svn.. and with the 9.04 version htsp protocol is not available .. so I need it to whatch tv with tvheadend ..

I suggest you google how to specify the package version to use in synaptic in that case. Why on earth are you using the SVN PPA on a "vital" deployment? You were just asking for this situation.

OK I will finally downgrade to svn 22290 using .deb packages availaible here http://ppa.launchpad.net/team-xbmc-svn/ppa/ubuntu/pool/main/x/xbmc/

Regards.

i think inside 22290 dts was defect, better use 22278 this was the last version that was ok. Or move temp to a diff PPA.
https://edge.launchpad.net/~henningpingel/+archive/xbmc
This version work for me and have the pvr inside (you need vdr to use the TV funktion)

The pre-merge `safe` build r22528 for Jaunty that Wattazoum created last night works fine here - DD/DTS & video playback speed etc are working as expected.

We can all stop playing with Aptitude revision holds and build reversions now.

Thanks Wattazoum Big Grin

- MrDVD - 2009-09-06

Yes r22528 works when you edit skin.xml and change it to "<version>3.0</version>".

Congrats and thanks for the new build, I let out an audible "yay!" when I saw the new build show up this morning. Works so great so far. Thank you.
