No EPG but can watch TV with no internet connection - rndthoughts - 2018-09-07
I have installed kodi and tvheadend successfully on Raspberry PI Model B+ and everything works. However, I discovered as has been documented before elsewhere that if you attempt to run without an ethernet connection then the PVR client won't connect to tvheadend and indeed tvheadend won't start by default. If I simply connect the pi to a standalone network hub with no internet access and assign it a static ip, the port comes up, the channels are shown and I can watch TV but the guide doesn't import. Does anyone know why the guide import mechanism is failing when I can stream TV from 127.0.0.1 correctly?

Do you have the Over-the-Air (OTA) grabber enabled.

I have disabled all other grabbers apart from the OTA: Freeview one.
