Voinage, there seems no doubt that 'you the man' when it comes to plugins. I had a look at the old DemoScene.TV module earlier with hopes of reanimating the NSV addresses which had obviously changed only to find that since I was last on DSTV they have upgraded to a whole new flash based front end that allows you to watch some awesome demos, some of which are shown in HD format.
My official request to you... I'd love to see a working Demoscene.TV plugin, and I'm sure I'm not the only 'scene' loving individual out there who would jump at the chance of posessing an instant streaming demo library.
Keep up the AWESOME work dude!

I haven't had cable in over 4.5 years and haven't missed it one bit (almost haven't missed it, read on)... in fact now when I watch "regular" cable/satellite, I usually end up frustrated at the commercials/time schedules/editing for content that I give up and go read a book! Bah! A book! As though I was in the 18th century!
Anyways... the ONE thing I do miss from cable is the variety it unwittingly imposes on the viewer. Let me explain by example... say I'm in the mood to watch tv at 1pm on a saturday... well, most cable channels aren't playing any of the hit shows at this time, so I'm forced to watch some random thing that I normally would think of, like....let's say the Dirty Jobs or Good Eats.
Now, skipping to the world of content on demand on xbmc, I don't have that problem. I see what I want, when I want it. Thanks to 'hagen and voinage and others, we now have a TREMENDOUS amount of content available on our once-humble xbox. Nevertheless, I find myself watching the same few shows over and over. But there are two problems with that... One is that I do ENJOY those shows I wouldn't think of, shows like Dirty Jobs or Good Eats. I WANT to watch those types of shows, I WANT a little bit of randomness in my TV watching, but as it is, I just end up watching the same thing over and over and over. No variety. The other problem is (and this occurs more often when a group of people are over) that I can't make a decision on what I want to watch. I'd rather the box pick for me, and then if I don't like it I can just change the channel.
And now on to my request... I'd like to have all these wonderful plugins combined: DivVin, Ninja Video, TVShack, QuickSilverScreen, etc. into one master plugin that randomly selects a video from those sites, simulating cable. Bonus points if I can have customizable "channels" (like, I could fill out a list of either shows I want on that channel, or maybe Shows I don't want on that channel.)
There wouldn't be any problem with randomly selecting things outside of the TV Shows categories of those sites, like Movies, Anime, Music Videos, etc... in fact I encourage it! It would be great!
Maybe this is just a pipe dream, perhaps it isn't possible, perhaps it isn't practical, but I thought it'd be worth asking anyways

@rwparris2 it is possible -
but why don`t you just create a (playlist) of different shows from the plugins then save them this bit covers your special channel selection, then have xbmc load playlist on startup and turn on the shuffle function so that it picks the show at random.
It`s easier and quicker.
To be honest, you are much better off reading. I really rather enjoy a good read.

Actually using a playlist is what I've been doing so far. The problem is smart playlists don't work with plugins (as far as i can tell) and static playlists don't realize when new content has been added or old content taken away.
Ah well, perhaps when your tutorial comes out I'll give it a shot, that way I can (hopefully) make it just how I want it.
And I was being sarcastic about not wanting to read... I read much more than I watch TV, but sometimes after a 12hr shift I'd rather watch the Simpsons

Nice find Solocky. I've got used to subs these days but in the begining I found them hard work due to being dyslexic so I'm still keen on this (there are a few anime series which actually ahave *good* dubs too

I have sucessfully got 4-on demand to run, along with 4 catchup.
But i had to bypass Drm and i don`t think i will ever release this.
I am posting this to say that is is possible but i don`t think i would like to face channel 4 in a battle over rights for programs lawsuit.

I know this site breaks it's video up into multiple portions and I believe (not sure) it sometimes has commercials in the middle of videos, but commercials aside, this site would be a great plugin. I love Adult Swim original shows and the fact I can simply view shows I have missed. I hope this site isn't to hard to write a plugin for.
