RE: SONY AF9 w/ AndroidTV Oreo - Installation via Play Store fails with Error Code -506 - chrisyu - 2019-01-08 Network is slow, just downloaded. And kodi-20190104-99374761-nghttp2-armeabi-v7a.apk failed too. $ adb install kodi-20190104-99374761-nghttp2-armeabi-v7a.apk adb: failed to install kodi-20190104-99374761-nghttp2-armeabi-v7a.apk: Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_INSUFFICIENT_STORAGE: Failed rename] RE: SONY AF9 w/ AndroidTV Oreo - Installation via Play Store fails with Error Code -506 - fritsch - 2019-01-08 Perfect. Same PACKAGE_ID For all: go with the org.xbmc.sony version :-) - I will post updates after every two / three days. So that you users don't suffer from the Rootkit company. RE: SONY AF9 w/ AndroidTV Oreo - Installation via Play Store fails with Error Code -506 - chrisyu - 2019-01-08 Great! Thank you fritsch. And I installed tv-release.apk on my shield tv, it's all OK. Seems no launcher icon, but can be opened from setting - apps -koditest - open. Same PACKAGE_IDBut don't the app has to be recognized as video application by android tv to access hardware decoding and select the right picture mode ? I think that's why chrisyu chose "com.amazon.aiv.eu" RE: SONY AF9 w/ AndroidTV Oreo - Installation via Play Store fails with Error Code -506 - fritsch - 2019-01-08 @chrisyu Could you please also test the second reply: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/4709137/solution-to-install-failed-insufficient-storage-error-on-android @nycom juts play a video and post me the debug log with the org.xbmc.sony version please I can show you if hw acceleration works RE: SONY AF9 w/ AndroidTV Oreo - Installation via Play Store fails with Error Code -506 - nycom - 2019-01-08 (2019-01-08, 18:37)fritsch Wrote: @chrisyu Could you please also test the second reply: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/4709137/solution-to-install-failed-insufficient-storage-error-on-androidHere you can find the debug logs. I played a 4k HDR movie https://paste.kodi.tv/xawabumodo.kodi RE: SONY AF9 w/ AndroidTV Oreo - Installation via Play Store fails with Error Code -506 - fritsch - 2019-01-08 Mediacodec Surface works Quote:18:26:10.987 T:18446744072678988144 DEBUG: CDVDVideoCodecAndroidMediaCodec:: Multi-Surface Rendering Any issues you see? RE: SONY AF9 w/ AndroidTV Oreo - Installation via Play Store fails with Error Code -506 - goatl0rd - 2019-01-08 One question testing the last .apk... In the Video section inside System Info, it says: GPU: Mali-G71 Screen Resolution: 1920x1080 at 60Hz - Full screen. It means that when I play a 4K video, 1080p is the maximum resolution? How can I check the resolution played? thanks and sorry for the off topic... RE: SONY AF9 w/ AndroidTV Oreo - Installation via Play Store fails with Error Code -506 - fritsch - 2019-01-08 Resolution mediacodec opened was 4k. Check with the "info key" of your TV's remote. The UI is rendered in 1080p, that's normal and better for the MALI. Same PACKAGE_IDBut don't the app has to be recognized as video application by android tv to access hardware decoding and select the right picture mode ? As far as I know, it's not about hardware decoding, I think all apps can access hardware decoding. I choose "com.amazon.aiv.eu" just because it will be recognized as video application, default use cinema profile. User can choose cinema profile for any app manually. I changed android studio sample project's package id from "org.xbmc.kodi" to ""org.xbmc.tvtest", build another apk. https://app.box.com/s/o7j4v3kiuujzlvjzsm83eyqruo54bxuw tv-release.apk -> package id "org.xbmc.kodi" tv-release-org.xbmc.tvtest.apk -> package id "org.xbmc.tvtest" Test on Z9F TV tv-release.apk -> cannot install tv-release-org.xbmc.tvtest.apk -> OK Test on emulator/shield tv tv-release.apk -> OK tv-release-org.xbmc.tvtest.apk -> OK I think that's clear enough, all the difference is package id. RE: SONY AF9 w/ AndroidTV Oreo - Installation via Play Store fails with Error Code -506 - fritsch - 2019-01-09 Good. Then we leave it to Sony - to figure that out. Why Kodi cannot be installed on a factory-resetted device while "kodi if called differently" installs perfectly fine :-) RE: SONY AF9 w/ AndroidTV Oreo - Installation via Play Store fails with Error Code -506 - fritsch - 2019-01-09 After the new Sony statement that the "ko" in kodi would make their "Classificator" think that this is a kernel object. Here is a final test: https://jenkins.kodi.tv/view/Automation/job/BuildMulti-Choice/195/ <- this one changes PACKAGE_ID to org.rabi.kohl <- which is german for something I don't like to eat :-) (kohlrabi) - so if that one also does not install, their point is proven. At the end this would mean: Yes, they blocked us and many more "by accident" :-) Build results here: http://mirrors.kodi.tv/test-builds/android/ @chrisyu if you are faster, you can also test this with your "small" apk RE: SONY AF9 w/ AndroidTV Oreo - Installation via Play Store fails with Error Code -506 - fritsch - 2019-01-09 Here is the build: http://mirrors.kodi.tv/test-builds/android/arm/kodi-20190109-f39b4b3e-org.what.kohlrabi-armeabi-v7a.apk |
