Display settings for Kodi running on an old mac to a new 4k tv - Roy_Keane - 2018-10-09

Hi - bit of a tech newb....running Kodi on a MacBook Pro (Mid 2012) connected via thunderbolt HDMI adapter

Was running to a 1080 HDTV, just upgraded to a 4k display.

I'm having trouble figuring out the optimal display settings in Kodi.

The Mac specs are:

2.5 GHz Intel Core i5
4GB 1600 MHz DDR3 memory
Intel HD Graphics 4000 1024 MB

TV specs:
3840 x 2160 (UHD) resolution
240 MHz refresh rate

What are the optimal display resolution settings in Kodi? Maximum option appears to be 1920 x 1080.

And what settings should I adjust if I experience lagging or if images on screen show odd artifacts?
