Hard Disk video contents not readable in Kodi - Irgon - 2019-02-01

Hi, my name is Paolo. I hope this is the right section to post.
I have a proble with kodi 18: I have Amazon Fire Stick connected to my tv and Kodi 18 installed. I connected a Seagate 4TB self-powered to the Router through USB port. With this configuration I do not have any problem and I am able to see through UPnP all the video contents (movies) that are on the Hard Disk.
I purchesed a new Hard Disk, Seagate Backup Plus Hub 8TB. I connected it to the Router through USB port but I am not able to see its video contents through UPnP. I also verified that connecting the old Seagate 4TB self-powered to the USB port of Seagate Backup Plus Hub 8TB, I am able to see through UPnP the video contents that are on the Hard Disk Seagate 4TB but not those ones of Seagate Backup Plus Hub 8TB.
Both the Hard Disk are NFTS.

Do you have any suggestion to solve?

Thanks
Paolo

It depends how your router shares the drive.

Most commonly it will be via SMB (Samba), so try using that. Point Kodi at the IP address of your router and see what is available there.

Or have a look at the documentation of your router and see there how it shares drives plugged into it.
