Mapping keys to a Amazon Fire remote - diasleo - 2019-03-07
Hi,
I wonder if there would be an app able to map the keys of a Bluetooth Amazon Fire Remote to mimic a keyboard?
For the last 12 years I've being using Mac Minis as Media Centers. I've been using old fashioned IR Apple remotes as a way to control and play movies.
Apple ditched the IR port on it's latest Mac Mini. So now I'm stuck to using my clumsy Wireless Keyboard as a remote. Not cool!
I bought an BT Siri Remote, but it's interface is gesture based and do not work well. So I bough recently an Amazon Fire Stick Remote. But unfortunately I was not able to map all of it's keys using Remote Buddy (as they don't support it specifically). I was just able to map the 4 arrow keys and play/pause button.
So, I woder if anyone has a solution that if it would be able to do that. Or even if you know of some other work around for this.
