Giving this one a go first with a clean setup on the GTX950 machine. No crashes so far, and things seem to work: video play, the Settings Addon, even NFS browsing still works.

One thing though: a reboot command via SSH hangs for something for almost 30 seconds, after that it actually reboots. Even the spinner is frozen in time.

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 19.0) - HomerJau - 2019-11-07

I just installed today’s build on a new SSD after first installing current official LibreElec release, configuring and playing 4K video and multichannel FLAC ok. Intel NUC8i3BEk.

Added today’s alpha tar, rebooted, updated successfully to Matrix alpha although some add-on errors (Aeon Nox Silvo, Artist Slideshow etc). Switched to Default Kodi skin.

Played a movie. No audio. Went to System, Audio settings. Not able to change audio device, Pulse is disabled, unable to select ALSA. There’s no Passthrough options showing (probably because Pulse is selected).

Is Pulse the only audio device in these alphas?

Thanks Milhouse. Fixed with above solution.

Do you see this 30 second delay with #1104 too? Or can you tell when it started? It could be kodi, or perhaps more likely systemd, related.

I'll have to do some digging for that. I don't remember such a thing on #1102, so the answer should be close.

EDIT: #1103 is also okayish, the spinner freezes for only 2-3 seconds.
The funny thing is, is that there is no such delay when an update has been downloaded and LE is being auto-rebooted.
Also after the update itself, the reboot is quick. The slow reboot is only after manually selecting the reboot option from the power menu.

EDIT2: #1104 has the longer reboot delay. Doing a 'reboot' via SSH also shows the long 20ish-sec delay.

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 19.0) - vanastasis - 2019-11-10

Hi

thank you for the great work Smile

been using for some time now without any real issues on a current mac mini

LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-9.80-Milhouse-20191012235627-#1012-ge416c8b

is the most recent file i can currently use, i've used all newer and all have failed.

once upgrade is complete, the system boots up without issue

its only when kodi loads ( raw/factory/new or with add-on ) i can't open any application, can't run or do anything basically bricked

i've done this many times using installer with nightly & current release then upgrade to nightly and nothing works

i get many errors bottom right saying no access please check logs, but unable to even check logs, cuts ssh access also

any help please

thank you

Upload the latest zip file from the Logfiles Samba share. I recommend you start using #1109 as any remaining issues will then be with third-party add-ons.
