I've replied.

Not promising anything, but maybe we can add an option to getedid that allows an existing edid.bin to be installed.

Thank you, this would be fantastic ! can you ask to script dev ?

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 19.0) - whysoserious - 2020-03-14

@Milhouse Now that mesa has been updated to 20.x.x in your builds do we still need to add "MESA_LOADER_DRIVER_OVERRIDE=iris  to /storage/.config/kodi.conf".

If we did add it earlier, should we remove it now?

Thanks in advance!

I think I figured it out. I backed Kodi up, deleted the kodi.conf file with the "MESA_LOADER_DRIVER_OVERRIDE=iris" and restored from the modified backup. The System Info screen is the same with or without the kodi.conf file. Image

Sorry yes, forgot all about that - iris is now preferred over the older i965 driver by default since mesa-20.0.0 and the override is no longer required. Thanks for the reminder!

Can you try the 5.6-rc5 build and confirm if that fixes it?

We think it might be fixed in 5.6-rc5, but are not 100% sure.

After testing 5.6-rc5, if you want to continue testing these 5.5.x kernel builds then see this thread. First, try disabling the "HD Audio DSP" BIOS option if you have it. If you don't, or it doesn't have any effect, then try the "blacklist" method linked in the second post of that thread.
