RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 19.0) - TVmine - 2020-04-12

I've been away for a while and on coming back I updated to the latest release, bugger now my PC hard locks on changing of profiles.

Explainer: Build #0116 worked fine, updated to #0307 hard locks when changing to new profile, updated to newest #0411 same results.

Does anyone use profiles or am I still one of the only ones uses who use them.

Kodi Log - https://paste.kodi.tv/xacabotajo.kodi
Crash Log Part 1 -  https://paste.kodi.tv/opolunusol.kodi
Crash Log Part 2 - https://paste.kodi.tv/ayinuveduv.kodi

Damn Crash Log is long

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 19.0) - Milhouse - 2020-04-12

@TVmine all but one of your crashlogs appears to be using LibreELEC 9.2.x official release (ie. Kodi 18). The one crashlog which relates to these test builds is based on #0303, and the crash occurs at shutdown.

It looks to me that this isn't a new issue, but somehow your profiles are or have become corrupt at some stage. Can you test with a clean ".kodi" installation? You may have to recreate your profiles from scratch.

Your kodi log using #0411 also hangs on shutdown (and is killed by systemd) - this is a known issue (dbus in LibreELEC Settings addon, no fix yet).

@Milhouse thanks for the reply, I can see what you are talking about. thankfully the machine I have posted the logs from is my backup (have 2 identical PC's).

I'm buggered to think how the system could revert back to 9.2.2 base from your release after been updated.

I am in the process I doing a fresh install with older official releases and will try different ways of configuring the systems setup as well.

P.S is there a way of doing a fresh install with your test build without the underlying official release.

No not really. You could do the following which should get you a pretty "clean" Kodi 19 installation:

1) Fresh install LibreELEC 9.2.2 from .img
2) Configure 9.2.2 so that ssh is enabled
3) Log in to 9.2.2 with ssh
4) Run systemctl stop kodi
5) Run rm -fr /storage/.kodi
6) Drop the latest Milhouse test build .tar file into the Update folder, and reboot

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 19.0) - UrushibaraRuka - 2020-04-13

Hi @Milhouse, it's me again with yet another issue.

In case it matters, I've upgraded my internet connection around build #0325 from 150mbps to 1gbps and got a new router with that (Fritzbox 6591 cable). ISP is still the same as well as my router configuration with DNS set to Google (as it was before).

Now, I can't update your builds through the UI since around build #0327 anymore. I'm currently updating via network drag-and-drop over Samba. Full debug-log here -> http://ix.io/2hPU

From what I see in the Log there seems to be a "Temporary failure in name resolution" that comes up 3 times from 3 different URL calls.

After a while it still appears to "download" something (I get the GUI with speed and ETA and so on) and then it stops, get's back to the menu and nothing else happens. The Log states "ZeroDivisionError('float division by zero')" afterwards.

Any help? Maybe an issue in my Advancedsettings.xml? (Visible in the log in 2 different places and different content for what ever reason).

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 19.0) - Milhouse - 2020-04-13

@UrushibaraRuka you may need to enable "Wait for network" in case your new router needs a little more time to allocate an IP address.

I'll add a fix for the division by zero - that shouldn't happen but my guess is that you managed to download zero bytes most likely because of the network issues.

Tried that but it didn't change anything. It also doesn't matter if I try to update right after booting or after hours of amazon prime.

And because I use "Yatse" to control my HTPC I also gave it a fixed IP as I did before. Well...it's still DHCP but my router is set to allocate the same IP to my HTPC and
from what I see in my router (which is quite a bit faster than the old one which was also a Fritzbox) that IP is allocated nearly the same moment I turn my HTPC on.

Also, since yesterday I'm missing several addon-icons that where there before (Amazon and Youtube Icons for example).
I'm currently guessing that my little 32gb SATA SSD Module (not even a real SSD) might start to fail as that might also explain the "buffer read/write" errors I sometimes
see in the Log (not debug logs though but regular logs) which only occure when I watch something on Amazon or Youtube, playback stops for 10 seconds without warning and then get thrown back into the main
menu.

I'll update to the latest build by hand again and test again.

UPDATE:
The update works again with the latest build (no other change).
