PVR slow playback and issues with playback - ThaDaVos - 2019-05-04
Hey All!
Got to say, I love Kodi, used XBMC way back on the old Xbox and I'm happy to see it's back! (Used Kodi on other hardware for years, incl. Raspberry Pi)
But sadly I've got an issue, especially regarding PVR with the IPTV Simple Client but also the TVHeadend client (current PVR setup used TVHeadend - I hoped this would fix the issues I had with the IPTV one).
When using the TVHeadend PVR addon on the UWP version of Kodi on my PC it all works fine: instant channel switches (sometimes have to switch twice, don't know why), no stuttering and buffering but on the Xbox One switching channel sometimes fails with a black screen, randomly starts buffering or stuttering -> No smooth playback, any idea why?
Currently got a RPI3B+ hooked up the HDMI IN of the XBOX One to watch tv instead and it works fine, just like my pc, instant channels switching, no buffering etc.
I also experience issues with playback of normal video files so I'm starting to think, maybe certain codecs aren't supported?
