Finally got around to testing a bit. Am using the latest revs of Matrix (downloaded today) and PseudoTV (Downloaded a bit ago, rev. M). Ten channels all of the TV show variety (TV Shows, Genre, Studio)

I have all settings set to default. Have noticed that when I start PTV, the channels are in a different order in the channel lineup. When one video ends, I am taken back to the guide for a few seconds before the next video plays. When the next video finally does start, it is usually many seconds, if not minutes into the video.

By the way, thanks for working on this!

There are two play modes: PVR Callback and Playlist...

PVR Callback will leave Kodi believing you're using the PVR backend. This gains you Channel logging, and on-screen visuals like the channel number, etc...
You can also try Playlist; which exits the Kodis PVR system and queues your media as a playlist. This gains you slightly faster loading between content; however, without the above-mentioned features.

As for your starting issue, Adjust seek tolerance the greater the number the more it ignores the time differential.

I saw your other post regarding your setup... I don't see why you can't implement both your current setup and PTVL. PTVL is designed to work with an existing PVR environment. If it's failing to perform this task, we can work to resolve the issues.

You should try creating your own m3u for your Live feeds and add custom groups; I'll play around with grouping when this project is stable.
Thanks. Yeah, I still have the m3u file I downloaded so will have a play around. Like I said, it's been a good few months since I last used the IPTV client so was quite rusty with the correct config etc. But honestly, I'm not overly bothered with these particular FTA movies channels we get here. 5 out of the 6 are quite poor quality SD, due to the mux they reside on currently.
Cheers

I refreshed my Kodi setup today with PseudoTV Live being just about the only thing I have set up so far. I am running Kodi on an Nvidia Shield and all my media is stored on a Samba share with a username and password. I created 10 genre channels and only one (Comedy) is in the EPG with only 3 episodes of one show available (Bob's Burgers).

Here is my log file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-bs5nv5SXynrTrRuNPa9t6wr_OBkePSu/view?usp=sharing (Paste.kodi.tv wouldn't allow the file as it is too big)

Before I refreshed my setup I was getting movie genre channels just fine, but not TV genre channels. All media both TV and Movies are on a remote samba share.

I don't see any log issues; however, I noticed you are not parsing for accurate duration meta. Can you try enabling and let me know if this fixes your issue?

That seems to have done the trick. That setting was not enabled by default I don't believe. Maybe that would be worth changing? Anyway, as always, thank you for all you do.

I was able get an error log when selecting a tv show from the guide that was close to ending. I let it try to load the show two times before capturing the code. Same scenario, loading graphic... back to the guide... loading graphic... back to the guide in a continuous loop. I counted over ten cycles of this before finally loading the next tv show.

Error Log - https://paste.kodi.tv/lixemikira

PseudoTV Live 0.1.0m
Nvidia Shield 8.0.2 (32.5.205.105)
Kodi Matrix 20200708-75d6f16f-master-arm64-v8a (7/9/2020)

@Dumyat I was messing around with PVR groups and arranging channels last night; All my tests were successful.

Using the settings below:
Image

... and the available PVR managers (Channel Manager/Group Manager); I was able to create a NEW PVR group that combined a channel from PVR 1: PTVL and another 2: Pluto.TV.

I was also able to add a channel from PVR 2, to a group in PVR 1. The only thing to keep in mind is if you enable PVR grouping in PTVL; you must leave those groups labeled as is; Since PTVL will always build them... You can add to them; but cannot rename them.

I also tested rearranging channels using Kodi's Channel Manager; everything continues to work great!

Just a heads up, it's possible to create any type of setup you want; good luck!

@Lunatixz
That's Super stuff! I will have a wee tinker with it later on this evening. Smile
I installed the latest version earlier today and everything is working well with the PTVL channels I've created. I'm really quite taken with the white channel logos that also appeared today. One thing I did spot, on every programme item, the year in brackets after the title was reading 2020. Not sure if that's the same for everybody, but just mentioning it.

Hello again,

Still have a problem. When a video ends, I get sent back to the guide, that's expected I guess. Takes a few seconds for the next video to play. Meanwhile the duration keeps adding up before the next video plays so that when it finally does start, we are into the video 15 or so seconds. IS it possible to stop the duration from counting until the video actually starts?

I have included the log and a video of the behavior I am trying poorly to describe.

Could you possibly tell me what is the best way to test different settings of the "Seek Tolerance"? I have tried everything from 0 to 100 and not much has changed. Maybe I have to reset the channels somehow? Short of that, is there an optimum setting for that number? I am using PVR Callback.

Thank you,
MArk

RE: What's on the horizon... PseudoTV Live Beta Blog & Discussion. - TVNow - 2020-07-11

Good evening, I just installed a fresh version of Kodi. I started by scanning in my TV shows, once finished, I exited Kodi from power options - exit. started Kodi back up and installed PseudoTV Live version 0.1.1. I than setup ten genre channels. I exited PseudoTV Live setting and waited for it to build the channels. After the channels were finished building, I attempted to close Kodi (once again via power options -exit). This time it wouldn’t close. Kodi froze on the screen where it says “Power Options Exit”, the only way to close Kodi is to dismiss the program by double pressing the circle button on the remote and selecting dismiss to terminate the program. I have tried this a few times and each time I was unable to close Kodi. I will continue testing this evening. The error log only shows Kodi loading up and building my channels; I couldn’t save a log during an exit of the program. Thanks again for your hard work!

Things I have tried:
- Restarting and shutting down Nvidia Shield
- Settings - PVR & Live TV - Guide - Clear data

Error Log - https://paste.kodi.tv/ininojovic

PseudoTV Live 0.1.1
Nvidia Shield 8.0.2 (32.5.205.105)
Kodi Matrix 20200708-75d6f16f-master-arm64-v8a (7/9/2020)

Perhaps reboot Kodi, there is always a chance the setting isn't taking... far as I can tell its working. Submit a new log and I'll check if its working.
