这个构建体(releases / android / arm / kodi-19.0-Matrix_beta2-armeabi-v7a.apk)在新的Cube上也可以正常工作,因为我找不到fritschfiretv构建体吗?

fritschfiretv is obsolet. Everything was merged into v19, therefore this is the only way forward. If we have bugs, we need to fix it there.

New firmware was pushed to the device yesterdays ... Did not yet have time to thoroughly test. What's your experience? Some bugs fixed?
Version: 7.2.2.9 (PS7229/1850).
Start-Page: 6242054.1

I have only found this....
Quote:
As always, there is no changelog. Nevertheless, a few days ago there was already information about new functions, which should be available with this update. The Fire TV Cube can now be paired with a compatible webcam. So you can then ultimately make video calls via Fire TV Cube to other devices with Alexa and a display. To use the new function, a webcam with UVC (USB Video Class) support and a resolution of min. 720p at 30 frames per second required.

If you also own a ring video doorbell and use a Fire TV (stick), you can receive a notification on your TV when someone rings the doorbell. Image transmission of the bell is also possible. The Fire TV Cube does not currently support this feature.

Likewise, the Alexa responses should now be presented a little more discreetly and no longer disturb the TV experience. Answers, for example according to the weather, are displayed as a separate small overlay window. This feature will not be available for the first generation of Fire TV and Fire TV Stick
so if the above is all that I have noticed, and that is only from reading that, then all must be fine. Meaning that nothing further seems to have been broken, has to be a good thing..?
when viewing full screen content via the Cube we no longer get the intrusive message up on the screen informing us of a notification via Alexa, that has to be good.

Everything else seems as normal whilst running beta 2 of Kodi Matrix.

So, just got a new Fire TV Cube for Xmas.  Trying to get it setup and working right to play 4k rips without buffering.  My receiver seems to handle the DTS+ stream okay (but it took lots of fidgeting).

1) Is there "known good" configuration set for both the Fire TV box and Kodi to use as a starting point?
2) Are there any good solutions for buffering issues?  Didn't find any in this thread...  I get a spinning buffering wheel about every 15-30 minutes...  Connected via Gigabit to the SAN that contains all of the movies...

Wasn't sure if these required a debug log or not, but thought I'd check for some basic info before diving into super-specifics.

Thanks!

Depends. Do you stream you files from a dedicated NAS or just an HDD connect to the router via USB. My guess is that it sounds like you do the latter.

Glad I'm not alone in being unable to play 4k content (movies). In my case the buffering is every few minutes.

I'm storing video on a SATA3/6G (OS on SSD @ Win 10 Pro 64/48GB) shared using SMBv3. Since cube has 2GB RAM I set Kodi video cache to 1/3 of this and mode to 2 but still getting the buffering and I'm sure it's not the PC.

If it means anything I didn't have these issues on the last of the custom builds in this thread, it started I think with Kodi 19 Beta 1/2.

Did you ever fix your issue?

Please open a proper bugreport on our bugtracker. That will include all information required.

Thanks much.

This problem occurs for values less than -1.00 (when shifting the video upward), and for values greater than +1.00 (when shifting the video downward)

I see the problem with all of:
- kodi-20201001-5c717b66-fritschfiretv-armeabi-v7a.apk
- kodi-20201024-08ee377c-fritschfiretv-armeabi-v7a.apk
- kodi-20201008-7a0563a7-media_import_19.0a2-Matrix-armeabi-v7a.apk

No problem on the Fire TV Stick 4K.

Just tried out the latest v19 pre-release...seems like this problem has not been fixed by Amazon/Amlogic.  Does anyone know if Amazon and/or Amlogic are working on a firmware fix?

It looks likely that I'll be returning the Cube...

RE: 2019 - Amazon Fire TV Cube - AMLogic S922Z - maybecrazy - 2021-01-24

I noticed on the Cube2 multichannel PCM no longer works with 19 later nightlies beta 2 and RC.

I have to go back to 14/12/20 to have it working.

RE: 2019 - Amazon Fire TV Cube - AMLogic S922Z - fritsch - 2021-01-24

Yeah - the firmware workaround for the Cube (which by accident did not understand how to DD+ float input, which it btw. will after next update :-() was reverted. It broke multi channel output on all known devices besides nvidia Shield.

Sorry - we can't ship an amazon workaround, that works by accident and additionally that breaks other functionality. 16 bit multi channel output shall work, if amazon makes DD+ from it, kodi cannot workaround that, especially not if it breaks other devices.

So with v19 nightlies, what do you get? DD+ for multi channel? If that's the case, another thankyou towards amazon who think it's a good idea to reencode output data ...

Do you mean next Cube update with the new interface ?

Yes MC PCM output as DD+

I use Kodi on my Cube solely for movie playback from nas so if I have to will stick to the beta.

Really appreciate your efforts anyway Smile

RE: 2019 - Amazon Fire TV Cube - AMLogic S922Z - fritsch - 2021-01-25

For FireTV 4K the latest firmware started to understand float multi-channel input and now also transcodes this to DD+, without our influence - just in firmware. Therefore I think the same will happen to the Cube after next FW update as well. Remember: Kodi has zero influence what happens on Android OS after we play our data ... we still play multi-channel output ... while they do what they think they have to do under the hood.
