There are no more useful reactions after February 2017 in the XBNE forum thread.
I doubt that any old copy of XBNE is compatible with today's Kodi database format.
Software comes and goes. It happens.

I don't test in Kodi current stable version (work with kodi-16.1-Jarvis)
