Trying to get kodi to force look at a different TV show - spotter73 - 2019-10-01 Hi Everyone Im a newbie to Kodi. Ive just built a raspberry Pi to use as a media server so am sorting out all of my shows/movies on my Mac first to ensure that they are all labelled correctly etc. I have imported a few TV shows fine, but when i come to import the original series of Monkey from 1978 (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0078659/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1) Kodi identifies it as the new 2018 adventures of Monkey. I think I have added the thetvdb add on as well so it will scrape from there (https://www.thetvdb.com/series/monkey) and attempted to create a basic .nfo file to just pull the cover from IMDB but to no avail. Everytime ig go to do a manual update Kodi gives me a list off 33 possible items to choose from, and non of them are correct. What am i doing wrong? Cheers RE: Trying to get kodi to force look at a different TV show - Karellen - 2019-10-01 Hello @spotter73 Could you please post a Debug Log which captures you trying to scrape the tv show. Also show us how you have named the tv show folder and the episode files. After some fiddling the event log is here https://paste.kodi.tv/ovemetiriv.kodi Sorry, i mis-typed when i said IMDB, my basic .nfo file had the line 'https://www.thetvdb.com/series/monkey' in. The folder is labelled 'Monkey (1978)' and the files are 'S01E01 - name of episode.avi' consecutively. I ran an experiment taking out the name of the episode and just leaving the series/episode, but to no avail. All help appreciated as its driving me mental RE: Trying to get kodi to force look at a different TV show - Karellen - 2019-10-02 (2019-10-01, 20:37)spotter73 Wrote: Everytime ig go to do a manual update Kodi gives me a list off 33 possible items to choose from, and non of them are correct. Unfortunately this is going to happen on rare occassions and it is a known issue. There were some changes at TheMovieDB a few weeks ago, and we might be stuck with this problem until the new scrapers are released with v19. It seems to affect titles that have an "Original Name" entry in another language, and this particular show has 西遊記 as the original name. You were on the right path with the nfo file, and you did everything correct except one critical item. You are using TheMovieDB-TV Show scraper, but you inserted the link to TVDB in your nfo file. So if you just add the following link, it will work. I know as I just tested it. https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/13826?language=en-US Let us know if it works. Everything else looks fine in the log. Nice folder structure and naming, so no problems there.
