Android TV to QNAP V4.4 Error - Chained - 2019-10-12 So since upgrading my QNAP NAS to the V4.4 (latest) firmware my Android TV suddenly lost the ability to play files, in part. All other devices, PCs, laptops, Android phones, work with no issue. I uninstalled, reinstalled, set it all up from scratch. No improvement. The odd thing is, if I scroll down to "videos" and select the same sources, plays it with no issue what so ever. Here is the log for when trying to open the file from "TV Shows": 2019-10-12 18:59:09.771 T:10338 ERROR: InputStream: Error opening, smb://NAS-ARK/Shows/Holmes and Holmes/S02E01 - We're In Business.avi 2019-10-12 19:00:13.399 T:9065 ERROR: Previous line repeats 1 times. 2019-10-12 19:00:13.400 T:9065 NOTICE: VideoPlayer::OpenFile: smb://NAS-ARK/Shows/Holmes and Holmes/S02E01 - We're In Business.avi 2019-10-12 19:00:13.408 T:10536 NOTICE: Creating InputStream 2019-10-12 19:00:13.647 T:10536 ERROR: SMBDirectory->GetDirectory: Unable to open directory : 'smb://NAS-ARK/Shows/Holmes%20and%20Holmes' unix_err:'d' error : 'Permission denied' 2019-10-12 19:00:13.648 T:10536 ERROR: GetDirectory - Error getting smb://NAS-ARK/Shows/Holmes and Holmes/ 2019-10-12 19:00:13.949 T:10536 ERROR: SMBDirectory->GetDirectory: Unable to open directory : 'smb://NAS-ARK/Shows/Holmes%20and%20Holmes' unix_err:'d' error : 'Permission denied' 2019-10-12 19:00:13.952 T:10536 ERROR: GetDirectory - Error getting smb://NAS-ARK/Shows/Holmes and Holmes/ 2019-10-12 19:00:14.194 T:10536 ERROR: CVideoPlayer::OpenInputStream - error opening [smb://NAS-ARK/Shows/Holmes and Holmes/S02E01 - We're In Business.avi] 2019-10-12 19:00:14.195 T:10536 NOTICE: CVideoPlayer::OnExit() 2019-10-12 19:00:14.244 T:9065 NOTICE: CVideoPlayer::CloseFile() 2019-10-12 19:00:14.270 T:9065 NOTICE: VideoPlayer: waiting for threads to exit 2019-10-12 19:00:14.271 T:9065 NOTICE: VideoPlayer: finished waiting However when I scroll down and open it via Videos, via the exact same source, it works fine: 2019-10-12 19:00:43.327 T:10388 NOTICE: CDVDVideoCodecFFmpeg::Open() Using codec: MPEG-4 part 2 2019-10-12 19:01:02.406 T:10335 NOTICE: Previous line repeats 14 times. 2019-10-12 19:01:02.410 T:10335 NOTICE: CDVDVideoCodecFFmpeg::Open() Using codec: H.264 / AVC / MPEG-4 AVC / MPEG-4 part 10 2019-10-12 19:01:04.069 T:10335 NOTICE: Previous line repeats 1 times. 2019-10-12 19:01:04.069 T:10335 NOTICE: CDVDVideoCodecFFmpeg::Open() Using codec: MPEG-4 part 2 2019-10-12 19:01:04.358 T:10335 NOTICE: CDVDVideoCodecFFmpeg::Open() Using codec: H.264 / AVC / MPEG-4 AVC / MPEG-4 part 10 2019-10-12 19:01:05.204 T:9065 NOTICE: VideoPlayer::OpenFile: smb://NAS-Ark/Shows/Holmes and Holmes/S02E01 - We're In Business.avi 2019-10-12 19:01:05.206 T:10671 NOTICE: Creating InputStream Anyone got any ideas? I even went to the extreme of uninstalling it off my Android phone, installing it again, exactly how I did on the TV, and it works fine while the TV doesn't All my devices share the same SQL DB for the library as well. RE: Android TV to QNAP V4.4 Error - Chained - 2019-10-12 Additional - I just set it up on my phone (Samsung Note 10+) and it's failing there as well. Works fine off an Android tablet, Windows tablet, Windows PC, and if I play from "video" not "TV Shows" or "Movies" RE: Android TV to QNAP V4.4 Error - Chained - 2019-10-12 OK... So the issue was it's decided to become case sensitive with the SMB name suddenly. I had to change all my sources to "NAS-ARK" instead of "NAS-Ark". Was this a recent Kodi change or did I somehow luck this into working previously? RE: Android TV to QNAP V4.4 Error - Chained - 2019-10-12 It appears the same for files. If I rename a file from "Testy McTest" to "Testy Mctest" it will fail. This never use to be an issue |
