The 'tube' version has less RAM and runs 32bit Kodi whereas the Pro runs 64bit.

1. What does it mean in real life, that Kodi runs 32bit vs 64bit? Any differences, that everybody should consider before buying?
2. How "Match content frame rate (beta)" works on Shield Pro 2019? For example, when you enable it, how Netflix works in such case? When this feature is used?

Sincerely

So this crashing, that I was asking earlier in my post, was related with Standard NVIDIA Shield 2019 with 32bit? There are really no problems with Pro version, when watching 4K HDR BT.2020 10bit 23.976 and 60 movie files? This is the only reason, why I want to buy NVIDIA Shield Pro 2019. I would not be happy, if it will be crashing during playback. There are also no problems with Dolby Atmos, DTS:X passthrough? No audio and video delays during playback?

Sincerely

it works exactly these instructions solved my problem now i am connected.
To connect your SHIELD to a PC, you will need to:
Enable File Sharing on your PC
Mount network storage on your SHIELD
Enable File Sharing
To access folders from your PC on your local network, you will need to enable file sharing in Windows.  This article has instrutcions on enabling this feature.
Mount networks storage on your SHIELD
On your SHIELD select Settings > Storage & reset > Mount network storage and select your PC from the list.  When complete, your SHIELD will have access to any folders shared to that account.

Not Recommended:  Enabling SMBv1 compatible server on your PC
Due to security reasons, SMBv1 server compatibility has been disabled in recent Windows 10 updates.  To re-enable this protocol, follow these instructions
Control Panel -> Programs and Features ->  Turn Windows feature on/off - > SMB1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support - > Enable  SMB1.0/CIFS server
In “Network and Sharing Center”, click “Change Advanced sharing settings”, turn on network discovery
In “Network and Sharing Center”, click “Change Adapter Settings”, go to NIC Properties\IPv4 Properties\Advenced\Wins tab, select Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP
In Services console, ensure Computer Browser and Workstation services are running
Run “regedit” to open Registry Editor, navigate to “\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services \Browser\Parameters”, ensure the “MaintainServerList” is set to Yes or Auto
In the same location of registry, ensure that at least one computer in each subnet, has the “IsDomainMaster” REG_SZ key set as True.
Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network and Sharing Center\Advanced sharing settings - > Click on All Networks and select Turn off password protected sharing.

RE: NVIDIA Shield TV Pro (2019 new model) - UTAVATU - 2019-12-13

Dear Friends

There is a chance, that HDR will work in YouTube, when there will be AV1 codec. As far as I know, there is AV1 codec support in Android 10. The question is, will NVIDIA Shield be upgraded to Android 10 in the future?

I will have my own NVIDIA Shield Pro 2019 on Monday.

What HDD 4TB (internal 3.5", because I have got USB 3.0 docking station) do you prefer for USB 3.0 connection to NVIDIA Shield? I will store there all my backup of physical UHD collection, remuxes, and play them directly via Kodi.

Thank you in advance for your replies.

Sincerely

When be out new  Kodi for Shield to stream in HDR10+ and DV?

RE: NVIDIA Shield TV Pro (2019 new model) - UTAVATU - 2019-12-16

Dear Friends

I have got NVIDIA SHIELD Pro 2019 and Onkyo TX-NR686. I am using NVIDIA SHIELD remote control to volume up and down my Onkyo receiver - there is such option in settings. And it's working very well, but I have noticed, that when I launch Kodi 18.5 from Google Play Store and click play on any media for example .mkv 4K, volume is rising by one, even when I don't click on remote's volume up button. When I stop playing movie, the same is happening, volume of my receiver is going up by one. Why is it happening? I have the lastest stable Kodi 18.5 and latest Hotfix 3 (it was the same without Hotfix).

Any solution to solve this annoying problem?

Thank you in advance for your help and support.

Sincerely
