Lost my database because i have change the source - Machou - 2020-01-29

Hello

I lost all the data from my video library, which it took me two years to make. The data is still in Kodi, but I don't know how to change the source.

Actually, I switched servers.

Old source : smb://FREEBOX_SERVER
New source: smb://FREEBOX

Does anyone know if it's possible to modify the database so that I don't have to redo my entire database?

Thank you

You can export your old db, manually edit paths; Then import back. I believe this method should work, though it's untested by me.

Did you follow the above guide?

If you have some SQL knowledge, you can always 'hack' your database and change path sources.
Make sure to make a copy/backup of your current database.

Are you using the local SQLite database or a MySQL/MariaDB database?

I was able to rename my old path, so I got my database back.

This time, I made a backup of my media library lol...

And I made a script that updates it every week to avoid that problem.
