RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - anxdpanic - 2018-01-16

Have you enabled the Proxy in Settings -> MPEG-DASH and checked inputstream adaptive add-on is still enabled?
If still an issue post debug_log (wiki)

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - jdf76 - 2018-01-17

debug log (wiki) would work well here

The Saved Playlist addition is great.

Jeff

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - heinzgruber - 2018-01-17

5.5.0 alpha17 i guess.

i'm not at home so i can't take a look.

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - anxdpanic - 2018-01-17

Proxy is located in the YouTube add-on Settings -> MPEG-DASH -> Enable mpeg-dash proxy

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - anxdpanic - 2018-01-17

I've updated post #2

alpha17 -> beta1
  • improvements to proxy and service
  • removed spmc dash support, generated manifest doesn't play

Okay. That solved the problem. But why why is the proxy necessary?

Read back in this thread and you will find out...

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - high247 - 2018-01-17

Live steams are not working? Any idea why? Do I need to change a setting? Using newest alpha but was doing it before that too.

Here is a feature request, that might be useful to libreelec/OSMC users, and would be cross platform,

would it be possible to add the personal apis via advanced settings.xml as then we could easily copy/paste in our favourite text editor, upload to our device/s reboot and go?

If it can't then thats fine. This would be super great for none keyboard devices though!

 found this:

  • proxy using onSettingsChanged callback instead of polling settings
  • restrict proxy clients to local address only
but i don't get it.

If you can catch this occuring with a debug_log (wiki) it may shed some light on what is going on.
Yes the API keys are also lost, so it is probably all the settings.

I didn't know that changing the API key (like the preset number even, which I would try to do every time the quota for a preset ran out) reset the login. That explains a percentage of these logouts.

I'm worried the debug log is too voluminous and the timing of the problem too imprecise to make logging convenient here but I can try.

Thanks

You can already copy and paste the Personal API Keys to the YouTube settings. Please see the following from post #3 on page #1 here: https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=325740&pid=2681560#pid2681560

* Step 6:

- With Kodi shut down, Paste all 3 Keys into: Kodi / userdata / addon_data / plugin.video.youtube / settings.xml
in the following lines of code:
