iirc the trailers are provided by the scraper used, like tmbd/tvdb

I've updated post #2 and the repositories with 6.5.1~beta1
Downloads: https://github.com/jdf76/plugin.video.youtube/wiki/Installation#in-development-versions
Code:
~beta1
[fix] unable to seek when using mpeg-dash
[fix] mpeg-dash video quality selection
[fix] signal endofdirectory in case of a provider navigation exception |contrib: enen92|

@dobbelina, @wallacebw, @linesma, @uuulbri, @druu, @Bigfood
With the above ~beta1 you should be able to seek when using mpeg-dash again.

Confirmed that beta1 corrects the mpeg-dash seek / skip / duration issue for me.

I did have to clear all the cache entries on the maintenance tab to get my subscriptions to load, in case it matters.

Thanks again.

Yep, I know that, I meant Leia... I corrected it about 60 seconds after my initial post.

See the post before yours, 6.5.1~beta1 has a fix for not being able to seek when using mpeg-dash.

Yeah, thanks... that wasn't there when I posted, it must have come in while I was composing my message. I can confirm that beta 1 not only solves the video duration problem, but also the horrendous latency I was experiencing starting videos.

Wish there was a way to upvote comments like this one instead of needing to post a reply. Anyway, kudos to the dev!!!

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - Steph09 - 2019-07-30

I installed 6.5.1 Beta 1 (On Windows 7) & while it's fixed the dash issues i'm getting errors when i try & access things like playlists, watch later, history, my channel etc... & the my subscriptions list seems intermittent.

I tried logging out/back in & clearing the cache stuff in the settings but didn't work.

I reverted back to 6.5.1 Alpha 2 & everything is working again apart from the dash thing that beta 1 fixes.

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - fux0r - 2019-07-30

Just installed 6.5.1 Beta 1 which fixed the seek / skip bug but now I'm not able to play 1080p60 videos anymore.
Did youtube remove 1080p60 h264 support? All I get is vp9 1080p60 which lags badly.

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - anxdpanic - 2019-07-30

@Steph09
Would need a complete debug log (wiki) to see what is going on.

@fux0r
Do you know of a specific video that has 1080p60 h264?
Until there is a fix, you can change the mpeg-dash - video quality to 'Adaptive (MP4/H264)' for the old behavior,-controlled by Inputstream Adaptive-.

Adaptive (MP4/H264) still plays 1080p/60 vp9 unfortunately.
video quality set to 1080p + Limit fps to 30 seems to work well, though.

I'm not sure if 1080p60 h264 videos exist to be honest. I was just a little confused because 1080p worked fine till recently.

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - anxdpanic - 2019-07-30

@fux0r
I will look into the issue with Adaptive (MP4/H264), and will keep an eye out for 1080p60 h264.
The quality selection was choosing the incorrect streams previously.
As you mentioned, 1080p + limit to 30fps should always default to h264 though.

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - wallacebw - 2019-07-30

I am having to reset the play history with beta 1.   Is the below enough detail to troubleshoot, or can i get you more deta

see:   https://paste.kodi.tv/qasikogiwu.kodi for relevant log entries

I have to do this after I play any video

@wallacebw - please use paste.kodi.tv for logs, do not post them directly to the forum.

The red text above the post reply button is there for a reason... Wink

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - anxdpanic - 2019-07-30

I've updated post #2 and the repositories with 6.5.1~beta2
Downloads: https://github.com/jdf76/plugin.video.youtube/wiki/Installation#in-development-versions
Code:
~beta2
fixup quality selection - 1080p60 h264, adaptive(mp4/h264)
fixup playback history

Thanks for the quick feedback. I'd like to work any kinks out as fast as I can, since live streams, and seeking are broken in the last stable release.

@wallacebw
A complete debug log (wiki) is usually best, as it will show things you may not think are relevant.
Playback history shouldn't be required to have enabled, it was a solution to problem that no longer exists and may be removed in future versions.
That said the issue with playback history should be resolved in ~beta2.

@fux0r
1080p60 h264 and Adaptive (MP4/H264) should both be resolved in ~beta2.

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - wallacebw - 2019-07-31

Beta2 in working in reloading my subscriptions.  Thanks.

Re Debug log:   I was being lazy, I opened SSH to the box and ran a tail -f on the log as i recreated the problem. Confused
