RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - blueribb - 2020-06-28 Tonight I noticed everything is back to normal. I didn't generate new API Keys, I just waited. 2 Intel NUC's (4th gen i5) Libreelec 9.2.3 YouTube Addon 6.8.2 RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - aeneas1 - 2020-06-28 fwiw... was getting the exceeded quota message, googled the issue, which led me to this very helpful/short video that shows how to create new credentials, it's much more user friendly than the documentation i've seen on the subject: removed due to piracy content RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - Amedeus - 2020-06-28 (2020-06-28, 01:38)blueribb Wrote: Tonight I noticed everything is back to normal. RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - DarrenHill - 2020-06-28 @aeneas1 - unfortunately whilst that video may be useful, the installation of Kodi being used is stuffed full of banned addons (wiki) and so linking to it here is not allowed due to our piracy policy (wiki). The link has therefore been removed. I'm getting the same error: "The request failed because one of the field of the resource is invalid." RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - sovaby - 2020-07-01 Such an error only if you make the keys master. Add keys manually, everything works. Through Credentials and choose type of computers. What do you mean by "add keys manually"? Where can I do that? And what does "you make the keys master" mean? Currently I have 1 API Key, but no OAuth 2.0 Client IDs due to the error mentioned above. I entered the API key and the API-Id (now called "Project-ID" by Google) and left the API secret blank on the "YouTube Add-on API Configuration" page. When I try to logon to my Youtube account in the Add-on there's a pop-up window saying that I have to activate to 2 apps in order to make Youtube work correctly, when I click on "OK" it tells me to go to google.com/devices to enter a code - but there's no way to add this code, the page just displays some devices on which I'm logged in. Edit: I'm in the same boat like here: https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=353278&pid=2959490#pid2959490 RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - RPi4 - 2020-07-02 @Bobby Blixberg When trying to create an OAuth credential please try selecting application type "Desktop App", that worked for me. RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - Bobby Blixberg - 2020-07-02 @RPi4 Thanks, that did it! At least I'm able to search for videos and watch them, but sign-in still doesn't work because I still get no prompt where to enter the code on https://google.com/devices. RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - anxdpanic - 2020-07-02 For those having issues with API creation, I've updated the wiki and replaced the images with a video of the complete process (6 minutes). edit: NOTE: youtube.com/activate and google.com/device go to the same place RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - Bobby Blixberg - 2020-07-02 Okay, it's youtube.com/activate, not google.com/devices... Will you update the add-on accordingly? RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - anxdpanic - 2020-07-02 @Bobby Blixberg They are the same thing, I just have a habit of typing youtube.com/activate from using it for so long. edit: I've added a note to the wiki and the original post. https://github.com/jdf76/plugin.video.youtube/wiki/Personal-API-Keys#api-key-creation |
