RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - musicadi - 2018-04-15

@anxdpanic when using the Amber skin, the video overlay stays on screen when the next video is automatically played. Do you think this could be fixed on the plugin side? Thank you!

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - FrostyFruit - 2018-04-16

Hi all,

I am running youtube-dl on a kodi 17.6 and started having problems recently playing music videos.

Is this common issue at the moment? Any advice on how to troubleshoot would be ace

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - rrrevin - 2018-04-16

Here's my situation. Playing non-live youtube videos via kodi 17.6, works flawlessly. Playing live YouTube streams via browser works flawlessly. When playing the same live streams via Kodi, it buffers, plays for about 5 seconds, then continually shudders. A bit of video, no sounds.. pause.. more video, no sound.. pause.. rinse lather repeat. Playing the same live steams "audio only" loads up about 5 seconds then quits. I've tried lower video bit rates as well.. no change.

I've uploaded the debug logs in pastebin (1 month expire) : https://pastebin.com/87UvuzKc

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - anxdpanic - 2018-04-16

@TB22 Not able to achieve that as far as I'm aware, will keep it in mind though.

@RKCRLR Sorry, that is not possible.

@misc123 I don't see anything to indicate the cause, have you tried enabling mpeg-dash and the mpeg-dash proxy to see if that works for you?

@Arokhaerr I'm not able to reproduce it with that video. Just in case it's locale related what language is your Kodi and YouTube add-on using? Not seeing that in the log.

@musicadi Has this also been reported to the author of Amber? I believe it could be done, don't really want to add something that is only required for 1 skin though(if it's happening in others I'm not aware). Seems more appropriate to resolve in the skin.

@FrostyFruit Not that I'm aware of. If you provide a debug_log (wiki) or video id I can take a look.

@rrrevin Please read the forum piracy policy (wiki) you have banned addons (wiki) installed. Please provide a clean debug_log (wiki) for support.

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - anxdpanic - 2018-04-16

I've updated post #2 with ~beta10
  • [fix] Audio only, failover to video if no audio only streams available
  • [fix] My Subscriptions missing page 3
  • [fix/upd] function cache, update max rows and resolve hang on some requests

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - rrrevin - 2018-04-16

Sorry.. I honestly thought I got rid of all of them. I'll submit a new log as soon as I can.

@anxdpanic My language is set to german.

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - burekas - 2018-04-17

What is the meaning of 'requires Kodi 18'?
So since beta9 it doesn't work on Kodi 17.6?

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - anxdpanic - 2018-04-17

@Arokhaerr Thanks, I will give that a try.

@burekas Requires Kodi 18, and inputstream.adaptive >= 2.2.12 are sub-points to the Purchases addition. The required changes to inputstream.adaptive for YouTube DRM are only available in the Kodi 18 versions.

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - Xmetalfanx - 2018-04-18

hate to post this question here, but I am not sure where else may be better to ask this.

I have had that constant quota issue and its honestly one reason I am CONSIDERING getting a Firestick (I am really sorry if its this sounds like a knock on the addon, its not suppose to be ... I thank the dev team for their hard work, 100%) .... ANYWAY ... I did just recently create a personal API key with a tutorial and my question is .... I have the setting to use my personal API key set to on, though I (at the moment) do not have the three keys (the key, the "authorization", and the secret ... whatever all of that stuff is) typed into the addon atm ... when i login to YouTube via the addon, does it pull down that stuff automatically or am i still suppose to type all those "keys" in manually?

Things seem to work now but I am not sure if its ACTUALLY using my personal keys or not.

Please see the following from Post #3 on Page #1 of this thread here: https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=325740&pid=2681560#pid2681560

YOUTUBE PERSONAL API KEY INSTRUCTIONS

Following all of the steps correctly will solve any quota problems.

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - rrrevin - 2018-04-18

Updated log : https://pastebin.com/fjMig2Sa
In case : The Youtube video ID is "EpXTVNxUG-0"

Side note; This should be clean now (I hope). This is actually my sister's system that her now "ex" BF set up. Good riddance to him..

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - DjDiabolik - 2018-04-18

@anxdpanic
Possibly feature request:

Thanks in advance......

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - mrbaker - 2018-04-18

Every time I sign in  the YouTube Add-On I get the message to enable two applications. After doing so everything works fine until the next time i open the Add-On.
Any ideas on how to solve is? I have completely removed and re-installed several time and tried multiple repos.

stupid question, is this the kodi debug log or is there another log I need to get from the plugin? Smile
