RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - el_salvadore - 2019-01-19

First time poster so appologize if not obeyed all the rules...
Youtube keeps crashing while trying to play live streams, it was working ok before not sure why it went crazy suddenly,

here's debug log https://paste.kodi.tv/ruliyedefa

any help is greatly appreciated.

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - el_salvadore - 2019-01-19

Also keeps crashing KODI after trying to run some videos (not streams), but strangely to say it has not generated the old kodi log files? Weird...

@smartgenes and @Zak89
See post #2 for beta5

@el_salvadore
See post #2 for beta5, if beta5 doesn't resolve the issue try also updating Kodi. If the issue persists post another debug log (wiki) with both updated

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - smartgenes - 2019-01-19

You're pointing to the changelog so we should download and run the beta?

In that post there is also a link to the wiki which includes the links to the in development zips. To fix your issue, you'll need to install the beta5 zip.
Will likely be submitted to the Official repository for review at the beginning of the week.

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - smartgenes - 2019-01-19

It's not very clear, but I believe I got the right one from google search - plugin.video.youtube-master.zip - as it referenced the release in the .xml.
I got the error message 'errno 98 address already in use' which disappeared after reboot,
but the videos still don't play..

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - anxdpanic - 2019-01-19

Will work on making things clearer. That was likely alpha1 you installed.

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - Gijsje117 - 2019-01-19

Since a few days youtube does not play the most music video's anymore. I have libre elec and kodi 17.6 krypton.
Automatic updates is disabled in youtube (latest version) and in the system software.

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - anxdpanic - 2019-01-19

@Gijsje117
Install beta5 zip from https://github.com/jdf76/repository/tree/master/testing/official/zips/plugin.video.youtube
if it is still an issue, provide a complete debug log (wiki)

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - smartgenes - 2019-01-19

Thanks, I think it was indeed the incorrect one.. I installed it from plugin.video.youtube-6.3.0~beta5.zip.
Again the same error and after reboot exactly the same situation with videos..

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - anxdpanic - 2019-01-19

@smartgenes
You can try Settings - Maintenance - Clear function cache and Clear data cache, if still an issue a will need a new debug log (wiki) to see what's happening with this version.

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - smartgenes - 2019-01-19

Not sure where that Settings - Maintenance - Clear cache is,
but here is the log with all the juice:

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - anxdpanic - 2019-01-19

That video works here, and it looks like it is using cache in your log. What I meant by 'Settings - Maintenance - Clear ... cache' was go to the Add-ons settings, go to the Maintenance category and run both of the Clear ... cache settings

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - Stratos1986 - 2019-01-19

Just wanted to add my 2 cents to this issue. After downloading plugin.video.youtube-6.3.0~beta5.zip and after clearing function cache and data cache as you mentioned @anxdpanic , I was able to play the videos that I couldn't play before. I still get the error errno 98 address already in use but this is when I have MPEG-DASH enabled. Upon disabling it, I stop receiving the error.
