Install the beta5 zip from https://github.com/jdf76/repository/tree/master/testing/official/zips/plugin.video.youtube
After the add-on is updated to beta5 run Settings - Maintenance - Clear function cache
If it is still an issue, please provide a complete debug log (wiki)
Ahh, I had not cleared the cache! Clearing the function-cache indeed fixed the HTTP/403 Forbidden errors Smile Thanks!

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - masinad - 2019-01-20

Thank you, the beta5 zip fixed to problem for me Smile

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - Smasherr - 2019-01-20

@anxdpanic The error is the same with beta5: https://paste.kodi.tv/ahukugirek.kodi

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - anxdpanic - 2019-01-20

@Smasherr It looks to be on YouTube's end; "This video contains material from a partner Dogus Digital, who blocked their display in your country in order to respect copyright"

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - D-m-x - 2019-01-20

Thank you, Beta 5 did the trick for me. However only after doing the extra function cache clear.

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - anxdpanic - 2019-01-20

Thank you everyone for confirming the issue resolved. I've bumped the add-on to 6.3.0 stable and submitted to the official repository for review. There is no functional difference from beta5 so you are fine to wait for 6.3.0 from the official repository.

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - metux - 2019-01-20

Hi folks,

w/ beta5 some videos now work, but a lot still dont. Neither do playlists.

See log: https://file.io/CU68r4

hmm, file.io quickly removes the files after a second ...
next try:

@metux
There appear to be banned add-ons (wiki) present on your system. To receive assistance, the banned add-ons will need to be removed and a complete clean debug log (wiki) provided.

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - ozkaradag - 2019-01-20

Greetings,

Yes, the problem was solved in Beta 5.

Thanks.

I want to ask, when can we watch the 4K Resolution?
I'd be very grateful if that happened.

Best regards...

@ozkaradag When is unknown, but you will see updates posted on https://github.com/jdf76/plugin.video.youtube/issues/257

Then the error message should indicate that ;-)

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - meNick - 2019-01-20

@anxdpanic - Can you please confirm where you will be posting any possible changes to addon in the future (alpha, beta, etc)? It seems the link that used to be in post #2 is gone. Is the correct location in the future going to be:

https://github.com/jdf76/repository/tree/master/testing/official/zips/plugin.video.youtube

Much thanks Smile

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - bluenote - 2019-01-21

Hi folks. Is there a Leia specific problem with trailers? I'm running beta 5 and libreelec 8.95.003 as well as rc5 on Windows and I just seem to get mostly crashes with trailers.

RE: YouTube Plug-in Thread - MentalTrousers - 2019-01-21

Hi.

I'm not able to play any videos on youtube.com. This started happening 2 days ago and since then I've updated everything, OS, Kodi etc. Tried many different versions of the plugin, all with varying degrees of failure, however, they all fail.

Here's the video that generated the log file using plugin.video.youtube-6.3.0~beta5.zip

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CkbWN3_CiL4

qoqacusosa.kodi (paste)

https://github.com/jdf76/repository/blob/master/testing/unofficial/zips/plugin.video.youtube/plugin.video.youtube-6.3.0~beta5.zip

I cleared the function and data cache beforehand.
