Migration from Transifex - homocomputeris - 2020-04-08

Hmm...
Give Transifex a try with our free 15 day trial, or connect with one of our team members for a personal demo.

How nice:
Starter
$139 per month billed annually
($179/mo billed monthly)

I think we'll need to up our search for something else. Rolleyes

  • Crowdin is very nice from a translator's POV: it has a faster UI than Transifex, it can recognize word inflection forms, it provides a better glossary tool, machine translation is quite decent. FOSS conditions seem to be compatible
  • Weblate is almost as simple as the POEdit program. Libre.
  • POedito is quite fine, but lacks convenient keyboard shortcuts and glossary. I don't know about the license for FOSS.
  • GNU gettext + POEdit + git is fine but complicates collaboration.

@Klojum Are there any updates about migration from Transifex?

RE: Migration from Transifex - Klojum - 2020-05-24

Not really. We've made some inquiries for one or two options, but no replies were given at this time.
Other options are still being looked into.

That's a pity. I hoped for Crowdin support, I've had a great experience translating there

@Klojum
Well, I've asked Crowdin, and they've given me access to their OSS plan. If you'd like to proceed with that platform, PM me the list of emails and I'll add managers from Transifex to the Crowdin project.
If not, I'll delete the project, obviously.
